I don't expect Mike to get 11 wins in year one nor do I expect him to make it to the CCG. That being said with the easy schedule we have It wouldn't surprise me if he exceeded expectations(heard that before) and gets us to the CCG game in year one. I expect the home opener winning streak to continue and make a bowl game with 8+ wins and I am happy. Also we should be Competitive in the losses no more blowouts against good teams. I think Riley will go 9-3 in year one and I believe he will be the guy to get us a Conference Championship that we have been waiting for and make us nationally relevant and maybe just maybe get us that National Championship that we haven't gotten since 1997.

Doesn't matter the guy infront of him is gonna play. And if rumors are true..... Gangwish is only suspended for the first half. Ok thank you, a response, McMullen will start but we need to be able to get to the quarterback in this bowl game so why not suspend him a few days of practice or just talk to him about his actions instead of make him sit out of a game he could play a lot in if someone is hurt.

Callahan era was the worst two 5-7 seasons or according to wiki a 5-7 and a 5-6 season, only two losing seasons in the past 40 years for the Nebraska program

Mike Riley recruited speed to OSU on both ends. Now he needs speed and power in the Big ten not saying his other recruits didn't have power but he may recruit to fit the B1G not the Pac 12. From what I'm seeing on Riley's staff it looks like Ron Brown is staying and so is Charlton Warren but that obviously isn't confirmed. We don't have a D-Line coach so Coach O is still an option and a big time OC. Nussmeir is available, he can recruit buy I would question some of his play calling but everyone questions play calling from all OC mostly at Michigan with all the turnovers, he did stick to running the ball that worked vs Ohio State but the RB got hurt and we all know the rest of that game. I don't care who it is but we need a big time OC if that's Scott Frost fine but from what I have seen he runs a different offense at Oregon and Riley runs a pro style Scott is running the spread. Point is hire Big time staff now that Riley has his Oregon State guys that is why we paid him less we could pay an OC 750k-1 mil if we need to but bring in the right guy not John Garrett.

I wonder if Riley will be loyal like Bo or not. If a position coach is not producing to the expectation over a certain period of time you fire him and bring in someone who you think can do better that is why Riley is getting 2.7 mil to bring in top notch assistant coaches. I understand him bringing some of his assistants from OSU though which has totaled to four so far

The special teams coach from Oregon State Bruce Read is likely coming because Mike Riley said he wanted a full time special teams coach and that's what he did at OSU

I agree with this I think he needs a new job at a big name school like Nebraska, some Georgia fans aren't satisfied with him and the Big Ten West is an easier division to be in as the SEC is a grind every game you play or coach

If we don't land Tressel or Richt or a big name coach the first question on SE mind should be do you know the best high schools in Texas, Florida, California, Georgia or the high schools that annually produce great recruits if we can get a coach that can recruit those areas outside of big namers we will be fine Tim Miles got the two biggest recruits in Nebraska Basketball history to sign with us and he wasn't the biggest name on the market, recruiting helps you win as long as they are coached correctly and fundamentally sound as well as mentally tough.
