  1. May the mighty overseers mods admins and donors bring the swift and just ban hammer again the OP.
  2. I was watching a bit and noticed the lack of crowd noise per the television. Did anyone by chance notice if the announcers commented on the crowd noise and do they actually mute it out? Yes, I am heading towards the ESPN hates Nebraska conspiracy.
  3. If you have to ask yourself how we beat Mich. State but lost to Purdue. You should pry find another sport to be interested in.

  4. Vote ban for FTW now in progress. Yea and Nay's tallied here.

  5. I disagree. Requiring a login or post limit means you will stop most knee jerking. This place has become 90% knee jerking /bitching. I ask unto the founder, is that why you created this forum? Does this forum represent the perception you wish to convey to the public of what Husker Football is all about? Max went on a ban hammer fest a few weeks ago. when you have such a robust community, it is your responsibility to make sure it isnt doing harm to the program. There are plenty of veterans on the forum and I would enjoy more topics from them. I dont think they even care to post anymore due to predictable hijacking by the knee jerking cry babies. Bottom line. We are. As stated in the OP. Did you miss it?
  6. I slept through the game this last week. Did the score shock me when I awoke? Absolutely not. We were one Heisman running back play from losing to Mcneese state last year. This is not the coaching staffs fault. This is not anything new to this team in recent years. My old ball coach used to say it takes a little luck, and Pelini had some luck to hit those 9 wins, i.e Mcneese, Northwestern Hail Mary, Pulling it out against MSU in the final drive come to mind. Last year could have easily went this poorly. I just have to laugh at myself and our fan base. We did this. Really, we made our bed. Look in the mirror the problem is us. What an entitled bunch we are. Riley is here another year so shut up. Thats the bottom line. It hurts doesnt it? Sell your tickets, quit watching, do what you have to do for the next couple years and we will see you when Obrian and the Twins are stomping ass. Herman who inherited a very very VERY ripe Houston program(the last 10+ years) isnt going to come in and do any better, A matter of fact, Im convinved Danny L. has forgotten more about football than Herman knows, And Im serious. The grass is always greener on the other side. Is there much to look forward to next year? No. The year following? I doubt it. Year 4 and 5? I think so. Tuck that lip in, quit the bitching, and wait. Good things come to those who wait. In the world of instant gratification makes it difficult, I know. To the Owner of this Forum: I would like to see a limit on starting to topics so we dont get so many negative posts out of left field from knee jerkers. It doesnt help an online forum and it doesnt help the team. Even Shaggy Texas has this rule. Install it. Good Day Gentlemen
  7. Lol the ego in these posts are amazing. We havnt won a conference title since 1998. None of the recruits besides the Nebraska kids, give a f#*k what we did in 1995.
  8. Just watched what all the fuss was about with the Colts formation. Easy to say "stupid", easier for me to raise an eyebrow Pats don't even call a timeout and barely appear to hesitate. #SwingingGateGate

I'm insinuating Patriots had scouts on Colts practice.

  9. The same as it is with the fan base. The old dudes remember the times we destroyed the younger people have no idea who we are. And why should they? Next years recruits were not born the last time we won a national title.
  10. Are you truly angry we won? Is your life that miserable?
  11. Minnesota had an all senior secondary. I don't know who was hurt, but I could understand their fans anger yesterday.
  12. Playing loose. Looked like they were just having fun out there.
  13. The secondary went from not in vicinity, to close enough to make a play, to making plays. All in the last 3 games. Very proud. Offense finally hit some big plays. Sustained drives. Great job men.

Be better at the end of the season than we were at the start. Compete in every match we play this year. They have met my expectations thus far.

  15. How can Frost be playing for GB in 2002 and with the Bucs in 2003 but be a GA for Nebraska in 2002?You assume he was there the entire year. He could quit in the spring of 2002, coach the season, then join the bucs the following year. I'm not assuming anything. Just noticed that and was asking if you knew. I wonder if that was the case because there is a 4yr lapse between his GA time here and at KState. I think GAs are only allowed 3 years at a school, correct?I don't know the details for sure. Regardless he pry took a break from football. At that point he had likely been eating kivig breathing it for the past 10 years. The GA ? I'm not sure either. Even the last 10 years are acceptable IMO. Hey I'm all about patience as you can see by my posts found in my profile. But as I sit here day after day I have questions. Riley is a hell of a coach IMO. BUT he is 62. He will not retire in Lincoln, I am sure he would like to retire in Corvallis. What kind of time table does this give us? Really? Peter said in the radio, how long of solution was this? Obviously he will not come blaIng out of the gate winning games let alone titles, its not his fault. Our roster is depleted this is fact, it very well take 4-5 years to even get the roster back to what it needs to be. This makes Riley 66. Now what, we settle for 9-4, 10+ 11+? Will he go 1 title and out? I don't know. What I do know is Frost is young, talented, qualified, a Nebraska man, and guess what, he is 40 and unmarried. A 20-30 year solution people.

  17. You old dudes are the ones who got us in this mess firing Solich. Thanks BTW. You get what you see now.
  18. I just used a brief Wikipedia Google. Was he there for the national title game? He helped coach it for certain? Oregon was just as good during those similar time frames. Head coaching wins??? Does it say he has 5 @ HOUSTON???? Who gives a f#*k? Look side by side. Really hard. Ok. Now plant this idea in your head, who do you think is a better representation of Nebraska football, which one of them do you think has more passion for the program?? He's a god damn Nebraska born native, he's one of us and you idiots won't let him or anyone else that is more than qualified even have a god damn. Chance. It's truly laughable I just sit here and laugh about it. Good job with whatever you guys have been doing. Great hits with Callahan Pelini and now Riley. Great work. Solich shouldn't have been fired and Frost should be the current head coach. No doubt in my mind. And go ahead and say " oh he has Nebraska ties" yes dumb asses, he does, and he also has had parents that teach him football from the day he was born, they were hs coaches, played under Osborne and other great coaches who are slipping my mind, coached under solich Snyder Kelly etc, experience.on both sides of the ball. Did I mention he ISNT married??? Jesse I wonder what he would work on all day, maybe getting the program turned around so we, the self entitled whiney asses can pound on our chests again? It's just laughable to be I guess. Let's just take Tom Herman I guess, since he has given Husker nation so much more than Frost. You guys wonder why Pelini woke up one day and said "I don't want to die doing this" its because of the negative atmosphere surrounding the program, no doubt. Self entitlement by definition. GBR

  20. Honest question and I am not trying to be a smartass. Other than being a former Husker QB, what makes Frost qualified to be a HC here? I thought that the complaint was that we needed a big "splash" hire and Scott is not it. He's not Harbaugh who wins everywhere he goes in which UM was lucky enough that SF was stupid enough to fire him or they would be in the same shape as we are in. If anything Frost's warts are showing now that he doesn't have a Heisman winning QB when it comes to being an OC. The sad truth is that nobody in the TO coaching tree has turned out to be good enough to be the HC at NU. Frost may get there one day, but let him continue to learn at another school. The program was already hurt twice because of TO hiring guys who had no HC experience at the D1 level and as a program we are better than that. I just like everyone on here would have loved TO to have groomed someone (or if he did, Frank didn't listen very closely) to take his place and kept the program where it was at, but that didn't happen. Now we are left with this and it sucks for all of us. And don't take this as saying that Riley is the answer either, all I know is that he is here and he needs time to fix the mess that Bo left us in. He wasn't one of my top guys to hire either, but wishing for another former husker to cut his teeth at NU is not the answer and it is going to keep us right where we are at with no hope of winning anything meaningful. I really liked your posts up until this one. Epically disappointing. This is the thinking that got us into this mess. This is the thinking that needs to be changed. You even go as far to blame Osborne for the current state of things. Gj buddy. Riddle me this, do you agree or disagree with this system: if we keep Soloch up to this date, we would have won more games, divisional, and conference titles. Finished with more top 10 finished than we have thus far? Also almighty entitled Husker fan, could you please give me the name of your splash hire, after you do that I will follow it up with a side by side of Frost vs theirs resume. So lets begin sir. Who's the splash hire?
  21. The entirely strange part about this, is anyone can get this aid(because we need to make sure that college is affordable to anyone, right?). I literally signed on a dotted line with no clue of what I was signing. Yeah...sure...that's my fault, and I was dumb. Thankfully I chose an engineering major and was able to pay back my loans shortly after graduating...but most of the other morons signing this dotted line, end up getting a degree in starbucks barista-ing, and will have no way to pay that debt back. So basically they end up paying back student loan debt the rest of their life. Fortunately, there is government programs available to kind of make up for this. I think most of these should aleviate Cuban's concerns(although they probably won't)....Even if you forgive student loan payments after 10-20 years, 10% of my income for 20 years is still a sh#t ton of money... Exactly right. Unfortunately the government has over reached itself in just about every facet possible. If the government wuits backing these loans, it goes back to private lenders. Private lenders and people both think twice about college and lending. Prices would instantly drop, all of the pork built up in the system would be flushed. This does NOT necessarily mean less people will go to college. The price drop could be astronomical. Do a little research into Dana college in Nebraska. There will be a lot of campuses looking like that one if what Cuban projects happens. Anyways, before the government decided to get involved there were roads, there were schools, there were colleges and there will be when the government finally realizes it cannot be sustained.
