He runs nice routes but when he comes out of his breaks, he has no burst to separate him from even a college DB, let alone a pro DB. that's why he makes circus catches, he's always in traffic. Without his roommate being his QB, he would have been overlooked on most routes, because unless a DB got turned around, he was always covered like a blanket!

IF we win only 6 games, some part of the system will have broken down. I think it's just part of fixing the mess that BO left us! But I also will bet $100, if i get to a sports book where I can lay down the cash, that the huskers win more then 6!

I think Lee will do fine and even help the offensive line by being able to throw short and not off his back foot. The defense should thrive under diaco! I'm pumped about this yr!

Every back for the last few years who gets 25 carries, per game, seems to get dinged and is then has limited output. give me RB by committee with no one over 20 carries in any game!

to start with; NM would call his agent and ask what it would take for TM to consider them. Agent called TM, so he had no contact with anyone but his agent. I like TM but think he's in over his head here!

I looked up his record at k-state; he never had a winning record in the big-eight but was coach of the year in big eight, one year before he left. had been as assistant 2yrs before getting head job. had left the previous season for 1yr stint at marshall.

I need some confirmation; did he leave K-state or was he let go. I guess for years, i thought he was let go but i'm not sure that's correct?

Riley coming here reminds me of when johnny orr came to iowa state basketball. he got this set up to succeed. so even after he retired the program kept going at a quality pace!

I've resigned myself to wait for next year on Miles. If indeed he does turn this mess around, then more power to him. If he doesn't, even his most staunch supports will have a hard time finding a leg to stand on! I do believe he has to makes the tourney and not the NIT.

TM will have to produce next year or be gone. MR inherited a mess. He now has his players, the next 2 years will be crucial for MR. MR can/will be put under a microscope if he doesn't succeed. So far the only mistake that i can pin on MR was not bringing in a QB when he came. The underside of it, the players may have declared mutiny if he had!. By the second year the players had learned enuff about the QB to not even elect him captain. If TM think the seat was hot this year; It will now be turned up for the whole year. Injuries and transfers, ain't going to mean squat; perform or be gone because SE is going to be hunting for someone to take over. Sorta like the free year that bo got.

I like TM and am glad that if they couldn't find anyone better, that they kept him. This gives Eichorst a full year to look. I think TM is in over his head and will prove it again next yr, but at least he's not a jerk. 20 wins minimum and a good showing in big ten and a tourney win or goodbye! no raise; no extention, but i'm sure Eichorst has made that clear already.

I'm a big fan of DPE. I hope he regains it for his senior yet!

You don't wanna get the reputation of recruiting topnotch QB's and then not giving them a fair shake to win the job. Also need to know strengths and weakness's of both guys. Very seldom doesn't the backup play. Usually at critical times!

Who is available is the biggest unknown. if Hoiberg is available or someone like him; make the change!

Gates in my view, is a way better RT then LT. getting an accurate throwing QB is paramount. When you talk about guys buying in and not buying in, if MR had brought in a transfer QB who threw accurately when he got here, i believe the team and program would have been better off. I also believe the team would have declared mutiny. in 2016 the mutiny wouldn't have happened, as tommy wasn't even elected captain. Tommy was/is a tuff guy but let's face it, when he ran the ball he got nicked up easily. he had some upside but also downside. To me, but probably not to the majority, i think MR tenure starts now. I will keep score on what he does from now on.
