The purpose for that DJ Khaled poster was because of his famous phrase "Another One" as you can see in the smaller banners above the big one, meaning "Another Sellout" for #350. He isn't a husker fan or involved with the program but he did acknowledge the banner on his twitter page and gave a S/O to the Nebraska student section for it. Whether it makes sense to the older fans or not, it was creative. Most other student sections around the country probably understood it better.

Yep that's why we need to make a push. FWIW, UNL only needs to make the Top 4 to advance, then the numbers restart for the finals

Just can't see other schools "backing off" completely (especially USC) when he isn't deciding until NSD more than 2 months from now. If he was deciding in the next week or so I would for sure believe that.

Anyone have access to the Scout.com message boards?

This kid has been tweeting for weeks "I know what school I'm going to attend", "Got my commitment edit", "I know where I'm committing" and all that. It's very clear he loves the attention he gets from everyone when he tweets something like that. Not saying it's a bad thing. But, it's becoming more and more clear that he's been Miss St bound all along and saw a chance to gain some followers and likes with Nebraska fans and is squeezing every ounce of that he can. That stuff kind of annoys me. Especially considering only a few weeks ago he told Rivals that "Nebraska is leading". But appears to be a lock for Starkville.

There was a Scout article I read that said Mississippi State and Nebraska are his final two (as we know) and that when he commits that's where he plans to go but he will still be open to other schools recruiting him "in case something happens". But he basically said his commitment will happen over Twitter and it will be spontaneous when he feels the time is right (which could be soon).

Pretty bad sign IMO. Considering he hasn't visited and is already planning on committing somewhere? Especially when he's been a Mississippi-school lean forever now.What if he's thinking about pulling the trigger on a visit? When exactly is this visit you speak of happening? He keeps saying on Twitter that he will be committing "very soon" and a visit hasn't been planned. He does tweet a lot about Nebraska. But, it's just hard to picture a kid like that committing here without ever visiting. No matter how powerful the Nebraska fan base is on Twitter. Need to get him on campus regardless. But he's not planned anything from what I've seen.

So what exactly was the "Good News" he got everyone hyped up about?

I saw that too. My confidence kind of took a huge step back after reading that. I for sure thought we were at least level with UCLA. But he made it sound like he's completely solid. The only other thing we can do is get him for an official visit.

Agreed 100%. That's why he locked us in for an official visit (which I think everyone expected in the first place). And I understand him taking his time with his recruitment, he's a 5-star after all, but I could honestly tell you his Top 5 right now without him even mentioning it: Stanford, Nebraska, UCLA, Washington, Ohio State (no specific order) That's why I don't really get him releasing his Top 5 on his bday but I understand that's what he wants to do. I don't know, it's just going to be a long process down to the wire with Darnay. I don't see him waiting until signing day at all. But we definitely won't see him commit for awhile.

I am 99.9% positive he didn't silent commit. It's nice to be wishful thinking, but Darnay is taking his time with his recruitment. He has stated multiple times he is going to take all 5 official visits. He is likely not announcing on his birthday (june 23) anymore and will be releasing a Top 5 around that time instead. No one silent commits to a school just to announce their official decision 8 months later. Also regarding the tweets, he literally tweets about Nebraska just about every day. He also tweets about Stanford and UCLA regularly. You can't look too much into that this early. It's clear we are one of his favorites, but to assume he silent committed is a bit far-fetched. Also if that did happen, I guarantee Keyshawn and Tristan would be *subtweeting* him about it.
