  1. Have a normal offseason for once lol.
  2. We will get some on the postseason list but definitely an ouch.
  3. That fast paced offense is going to be a test for our conditioning and depth early in the season if we don’t get off the field. But if our 3rd down defense holds, it’s going to have the opposite effect and end up wearing down their defense. Watching 5 minutes of their spring game was unmistakeable how fast they go. I’ll predict Colorado will rack up a few pre-snap penalties out of confusion.
  4. Two transfers from USF make this list. Just reading their 247 board it sounds like Jimmy Horn is the real deal. Haven’t read or heard about Weaver.
  5. To be completely honest, I thought he might move down a level. Good landing spot for him if he can get PT.
  6. Cristobal always has good offensive lines so this will probably be a good landing spot.
  7. Wonder if USC dropped by as well.
  8. Yeah, it’s hard to win the recruiting battle for the #1 player in the nation. When it was being reported that Oregon was gaining ground in his recruitment, there were a ton of comments online about “why would Raiola go there?!” A team that won 10 games last year under their new coach, a team that regularly recruits top 15 to top 10 classes, in a pass friendly conference, with a great NIL setup. But the perception is that only the back to back champs or Lincoln Riley make sense. I’m still believing we are in it until it’s over but it was always a tough hill to climb, especially without the on field results to point to yet.
  9. That probably bodes well in that there shouldn’t be any more surprises.
  10. My understanding is that players can retire from football but still have their academic scholarship honored by the school, they just won’t count against the football scholarship count.
  11. At 205lbs+, he could play a ton for us as an incoming freshman (duh). Depth chart has to look good for an elite RB recruit, just have to show that our run blocking has gotten better in this system.
  12. Seems like the writing was on the wall all spring with him. Sucks because he showed so much potential but I don’t worry about RBs as much. Interested to see where he ends up.
  13. Really hard in this day and age to have 2 true starter level QBs on the roster so I’m not all that surprised. My biggest concern is if this makes the offensive design a little more protective of Sims like we saw with Martinez at times. Gotta still make use of all Sims strengths (I’m sure we will).
  14. I think he would have been an all-conference guy at UCF, even in the Big12. Just not the right fit in the B1G I don’t think. People raved about his instincts and speed when he was able to practice.
  15. Always one or two surprises but I expect mostly healthy attrition.
  16. I recorded and watched a little more than 5 minutes of their spring game. It was a lot of gross Colorado propaganda on the broadcast so I don’t recommend watching. Obviously don’t want to make too many declarations off a spring game but I was a tiny bit surprised at how big their first team OLine is and how well they moved. That’s not to say they were a good unit, just that they were big and moved well. The offense goes very fast and will be a tough conditioning test for us at altitude. Their RBs look solid and I do think Deion’s son has potential at QB. A couple players in their front 7 flashed a bit to me but overall, I think their defense is still going to be pretty bad which is likely an upgrade from last year. Overall, I think they went from being a double digit lock for us given last year’s trajectory and will now be a good early season test instead. Ball control and win TOP and crush their souls.
  17. The link here is not behind a paywall. Includes a few from ‘25, ‘26, and I believe I saw a ‘27 QB is visiting as well.
  18. Sounds like he will be at Colorado’s spring game this weekend so maybe we can still push for an OV in season.
