  1. You’re an idiot for starting this thread. GTFOH !
  2. Frost lost this. AM’s terrible a$$ should have been benched a long time ago. Teaching our kids how to lose.
  3. Then take the cult blinders off. That should tell you something about your belief in whatever “GOD” you speak of.
  4. That is.. if this state can handle another D. Lynch.
  5. He will be N for sure. I heard he has relation to the ever so popular Nebraskan Dorothy. Dorothy Lynch.
  6. Have we become so desperate as Huskers fans to say that “winning the west would be fantastic?” It would be a step in the right direction from the depths of despair this program has fallen into the past ten years. But let’s be honest, the B1G West division is not being talked about on a national level. No one could give a crap less who wins the B1G West. We had our chance to prove ourselves to everyone. We didn’t expect a win, but showcasing the improvements we have made and proving we are in the right direction is all we could have asked to showcase. Unfortunately, we just embarrassed the crap out of ourselves on that national level. Absolute embarrassment to this program. It will be at least five more years until we get that opportunity again and have the ability to change a few minds on the national level about the direction of our program. Until then, no one cares if we win the West. That should be a given.
  7. Bootle’s family has had ties to Nebraska when he was a toddler. His much older brother was my roommate and played football at UNO in Omaha. Some damn good players down there and definitely in that family.
  8. Last year compared to this year. Martinez has put on a lot of muscle. Excited to see this translate onto the field, and with many other players too!
  9. Frank. The. Tank!! Frank. The. Tank!!
  10. Tape those ankles from now on buddy. Then put a brace on over that. That is what I had to do for high school sports. Worked wonders! Luckily it was an ankle.
  11. The car in the parking lot is not the same as a dorm room. I was speaking about the search of the vehicle. For a dorm room probable cause is needed for search. If someone called police for the smell of weed or if they smelled it on routine patrol then the smell is probable cause to search the whole dorm room if they answer the door and police can definitely tell the smell is coming from the room. If no one answers the door it makes things more difficult but sometimes if a gap is under the door they can testify that they could still distinguish it was coming from that room. Finding marijuana or paraphernalia in the room or even if the marijuana was gone and there was an ash try and it was all smoked that still would be enough to have “Reasonable Articulable Suspicion” that the marijuana was brought onto campus in the vehicle, and it could then also be searched. However, if there is no probable cause,” and there wasn’t a smell of weed, the only room with consent / permission that can be searched would be the person’s specific bedroom. If there is common areas or living room areas or a shared kitchen space then all people living in the residence have to give consent. If one person says no then police can’t search without PC. If all five consent to search the whole dorm room, all people that reside in the dorm room must be present during the search so they can speak up and tell the police to stop in case they change their minds during the search, as they have a right to stop the search at any time. I got a bachelor degree in criminal justice from UNO. Got hired on at a big department at age 22. I busted guys and got a lot of drugs off the streets and was good at it as a patrol officer. I believe weed should be legal but concentrated my efforts on meth. My efforts got noticed and I got a promotion to a narcotics detective and got assigned to a drug task force with multiple agencies. The task force was led by an FBI agent and everyone on it goes through federal training and gets a Special Agent certification and title and gets sworn in by the FBI to be able to have federal jurisdiction to help enforce the laws in the multiple areas in the task force and to go to any state the case leads us. I then got recognized for the efforts in the task force and got hired on by FBI and got sent to Quantico for training etc. was there for a few years.
  12. Not a problem, I am glad to help inform on questions. If the police see drugs or paraphernalia through a window or cracked door etc then they could boot the door down and enter because there then would be reason to believe that if they knocked the evidence could be destroyed. But if there is just smell they would need to come back with a search warrant based on the smell and “totality of the circumstances”. Which typically any judge would sign this type of warrant in a heartbeat. In special circumstances where time is of value the cop could even call a judge and give him a recorded verbal statement on what he has and they could verbally issue a search warrant but that is very rarely done and especially not for pot.

  14. I used to be a narcotics agent. I am 30 years old and was one for about five years and left cause I didn’t agree with many of the laws or policies that were being enforced. Many are racially motivated and tactics used concentrate on social class, etc. I am a white male who now works with at risk youth in Omaha, but am very in tuned with the laws. Here is just one link and case law example from a lame website after spending one minute searching. I prefer a legal statute book though. https://mobile.edweek.org/c.jsp?cid=25920011&item=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.edweek.org%2Fv1%2Fblog%2F55%2Findex.html%3Fuuid%3D11973
  15. I prefer a statute book, but don’t have one on me. Here is a lame a$$ link if it makes you feel better that I’m not randomly making s#!t up. https://www.thoughtco.com/search-and-seizure-in-schools-3194666
  16. I used to be a narcotics agent for the FBI, if an internet link helps you better understand and believe the law you can do a Google search yourself.
  17. Funny how everyone is saying poor education, and why they shouldn’t have consented to a search, etc. The law states police can search vehicles on campus and at high schools practically whenever they want. All they need is reasonable suspicion, which is a lot less of a burden to prove than probable cause. It is basically a hunch.
  18. As an ex-narcotics agent, less than one ounce of marijuana is an infraction in Nebraska. That is equal to a parking ticket. It isn’t even a misdemeanor. IMO, Frost should kick people off the team for parking tickets if he is going to do it for marijuana use. He could be afraid of the stigma it would put on his program if he doesn’t. If he kicks him off the team “to prepare the players for the NFL’s rules” , I wouldn’t agree with that because the NFL will allow marijuana use after the next union contract is negotiated. If he kicks him off because no drug use is a team rule, then I am all for it. Be a part of the team and a leader. Just depends on how Frost spins this one on whether most people will agree or not agree with the punishment.
  19. This kid has freakish similarities to Ja Morant. Has the ball control and crossover down. Fast twitch player. Not afraid to put a defender on a poster. Aggressive. Huge pickup. Give him some guys to feed.
  20. Is a shoulder injury a major concern for a linebacker, as far as likelihood of reinjury throughout his career? With linebackers making many tackles and taking a lot of force in this area, has anyone had experience with this and is it a major worry for the future of his career in this position?
  21. I had to read it as I believe this helped Fred put many things into perspective ultimately leading him to choose us.
  22. Hoiberg talked about his wife and him flying American a week ago and coming across a big spread in their news magazine on Nebraska and its growth and what it has to offer young people. I tracked that article down and it is 29 pages and is actually a very impressive read. It also highlights the University, football program, the Vault, etc. go to page #107 http://americanway.ink-live.com/html5/reader/production/default.aspx?pubname=American Way&edid=6c762fac-3286-4603-9357-b49495943bc6
