  1. I must be missing something? They won the 5 games leading up to our game and have won the last 2?
  2. They aren't ranked because our non conference schedule was so weak. We win 2 of the next 3 and we will be ranked imo.
  3. Kuddos to Mast but my game ball goes to Josiah. That kid worked his a$$ off last night. His defensive effort made that a comfortable win last night imo.
  4. To be top 15 yearly, we have to produce top 15 level of play on the field. I don't believe anything else can convince elite talent to play here without on the field results. I find it remarkable that our staff was able to put together such a great class this year while all but eliminating transfers. The future looks bright... just need to go win some games now to keep it going.
  5. Well aware but that has absolutely zero bearing in this conversation. Minnesota was far from dominant that year, and in no way compares to Nebraska's historical dominance. They were a good football team that enjoyed the favor of more AP writers. Many of which hadn't seen other teams play due to the availability of broadcasts in 1960. I would also point out that Iowa, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Washington were all recognized as national champions that year by various organizations. All of those schools claim a title that year. It was a joke.
  6. I'll also point out a few other things just to end this silliness. The stretch of "dominance" claimed by Minnesota pales in comparison to Nebraska's 90s results. Minnesota only played 8 games each of the following seasons where you claim they were "dominant" for the same amount of time. 1934 was a shared title with Alabama. 1935 was a shared title with SMU and TCU. 1936 was a shared title with Pitt. They didn't even win the Big 10 that year and no bowl game again. 1940 was a shared title with Stanford and Tenn. Minnesota didn't play in any bowl games through the above stretch. Minnesota has never won a title that wasn't shared, ever. Minnesota played in 6 bowl games prior to 2000. Nebraska played in 37. Minnesota has played in a total of 24 bowl games all time. Nebraska sits at 53. There is no historical comparison worth making, period.
  7. You do realize their last "championship", was in 1960. They finished 8-2- somehow ahead of the one loss Washington team that beat them in the Rose Bowl and ahead of undefeated Missouri, Yale & Ole Miss... Sounds very "dominant" ... smh
  8. Feel free to debate whatever makes you happy. I doubt you will find many Minnesota fans willing to jump on your bandwagon. I do think it is possible to fall out of "blue blood" status but it takes more than a bad decade. The definition that most go to when trying to define blue blood programs is "historically elite". I think we still fit that definition even though we haven't been good over the last 10 years. I know guys like you will try to say we haven't been good since the 90s but that just isn't true. We won 67 games from 2008 until 2014. That is good by anyone's definition and better than 3 of the 4 playoff teams this year- Michigan 46, Washington 43, Texas 61. It was also well above your beloved Minnesota who only had 41. Now if we stay bad for another 10+ years, I think the discussion starts to change.
  9. Nebraska dominated this category with 5 states #1. I don't see any other team with more than 3. On a side note, did they quit playing football in NM and ID?? Edited - those kids just haven't committed yet. NM best is a 3 star linebacker and ID best is a 4 star wide receiver committed to Michigan but hasn't signed yet.
  10. USCs new QB is no drop off. The kid can spin it!
  11. It is just a lower case LOL.... Interior Offensive Line
  12. Who is he and why quote my post? Weird... merry Christmas
  13. He is a kid- trying to make a tough decision. I don't fault him, especially in this day and age of NIL. I would be leveraging to get the best deal I could as well, even if that meant using social media like he is. Guessing you would to.
  14. He wasn't wrong, they did have a very legitimate shot to win the west at that point in the season. We were arguably equals to every team left on the schedule and we were tied for first place. Without silly turnovers, we win 2, 3, or maybe even 4 of those games and win the west. Our team floundered but that isn't on some talking head in the media who was just reporting the facts at that time.
  15. Listening to surius xm over lunch. Nebraska and DR was a hot topic. One of their talking heads is saying that he "thinks" Georgia is back in the mix because they countered whatever Nebraska was offering. He said he is 50/50 right now on where he will go. He said either way it is a win for Nebraska because of the national buzz it has created. Not sure I agree... They went on to talk about how high school recruiting is impacting where transfers go which lead into McCord.
  16. Exactly where did I call you out? I know you aren't an Iowa or Colorado fan, you are just a very pessimistic Husker fan that chooses to focus on the worst case scenario so you will be happy with virtually any other outcome.
  17. We need to find a way to block Colorado and Iowa fans from creating BS accounts just to stir things up.
  18. And now he is hurt. At least he got a touchdown.
  19. And he looks pretty good now in the second half. Glad he got a chance to play in a bowl game finally.
  20. He is about to really feel what it's like under the Nebraska microscope. Hopefully he enjoys being a celebrity.
