  1. Anyone else nervous about this matchup? Texas isn't the same team that lost some games early in the year. I think the Huskers will have their hands full if Texas serves the way they did last night. They made a very good Wisconsin team look really bad...
  2. This one is unique because it is leading up to signing day but they have been marketing and asking for donations. Not sure how effectively but it got our family to donate several months ago.
  3. That's the spirit! Cast negative light on anything good happening. Lol, we just don't know how to handle ourselves as a fan base anymore.
  4. Some of the deep thinking going on inside this thread is pretty fantastic lol. Whatever the outcome, it has been worth it to read our own fan bases reactions to all of this.
  5. I think the opposite. If people who agree with a comment would just like it instead of stating the same thing over and over, these threads wouldn't be so full of repetitive posts.
  6. Interesting. Maybe that staff doesn't care for the Georgia team? Seems weird that in 10 years none of their players went to play for Georgia.
  7. Exactly, To add - I wouldn't be too concerned about bad Nebraska fans having any impact in this. Reading some Georgia messages will make a person realize they have taken it way further. DR has, at least somewhat, intentionally created this buzz so I'm guessing he takes it all in stride.
  8. Probably right unless the team he lands on has a path to the playoffs and he is liking the coaching he receives. The 12 team playoff is going to help keep some kids stable imo.
  9. Agree so far. Need to screen shot some of the posts for later this year. Some people's reactions are just lol
  10. The kids is writing the book on how to maximize NIL before ever seeing the field. It almost feels planned. Not guarded here, just excited.
  11. That was a pretty damn pathetic half of basketball. Damn frustrating to watch.
  12. ...CFP committee announced that first-round games could be moved from host campuses for "logistical purposes" in the future. Stadium upgrades like the ones at Wisconsin and Penn State could become more commonplace as universities try to hedge against bad weather costing them a lucrative opportunity to host a postseason game.
  13. If they do eventually host one game, it more than pays for that field. Makes sense to me.
  14. The Rutgers coach is in his 15th season with them overall and 4th season in his most recent stint. Nebraska is in it's first year with a new head coach. Give the man just a bit of time to right the ship before jumping off that cliff.
  15. The boys are working out and practicing. They just can't do it as a team.
  16. They won 6 games. You do realize that's how it works, right?
  17. And what do you consider last year's QB?
  18. The nebraska fan base never disappoints lol. We hire a coach who we all know takes a few years to rebuild, and then b!^@h and demand staff changes when he had his best first year ever. I'm beginning to believe our fan base is the curse. Seriously guys, I get the disappointment but the results were pretty good considering injuries, and turnovers out of coaches hands in year one. As I said before, I'm not convinced our staff is perfect but all deserve more time imo.
  19. Quite a few things with a silver lining. For me I'll choose the HH story. Several unlikely events put him in charge of the offense for a good chunk of the season. He was good enough to give us some wins and some hope through a really rough stretch.
  20. Agreed. Even if we end up in Detroit or Shreveport, most of the fan base would be happy.
  21. Big picture, I like what I see and agree with the OP. Right now of course I would love to see a win on Friday. However, I don't think winning Friday changes where we are going as a program very much.
  22. Sat gets a pass from me this season. I can't remember a team being decimated with this many injuries. It has to be hard to call offense when your #1, #2, and sometimes #3 at positions get hurt. Of course there have been some calls I have questioned but it seems out of line to judge a guy this season with so many losses. All of that said, I'm not sure any of us think he is the answer long term. Based on his history, most people I know have a hard time seeing him as a championship level OC.
  23. Nebraska 17 Wisconsin 13 Rushing yards 181 Passing Yards 164
  24. He makes an impact in the run game as well. That is a huge loss for them.
