I have bought in but I wonder how many fans will really understand the patience necessary? We need to refer to this during the hard times we endure over the next few years. It's a long road that will have bumps... we as fans need to stay the course.

Writers get hard up at the start of any team's off season. Can't blame them- recruiting stories get old and we won't have any more, non-recruiting, real news until spring.

Looking at 2019 and beyond, the schedule doesn't get much easier. Time for us to start beating the big boys.

All the younger crowd seems concerned with us catching up or copying another team.. Wisconsin ie. That isn't what Nebraska is. Wisconsin doesn't hold a candle to where we have been. Alabama... Maybe getting in the ballpark. Nebraska is different and will be again.

I don't see Lee staying. I believe Mike's biggest mistake was adjusting his offense to fit what we had instead of changing to his system right away. I can't see Scott making the same mistake... Lee has zero chance to better his draft stock here so why not leave.

We all hate it but I think we all know Alabama would destroy Wisconsin or Ohio State this year on the field. The committee did their job and I think they got it right under their current rules.

I like Gebbia but I don't think Scott is the type of coach to force a round peg in a square hole. Gebbia is a pocket passer with mobility... Not a dual threat guy. I'm guessing our starting QB for 2018 is not on campus currently.

I agree but still feel we are way behind the elite national programs. I do feel we are equal with NW or Iowa but that shouldn't be our goal.

I feel our overall talent level is behind much of the B1G. The lack of NFL drafts doesn't lie... We do have some good players but are any off them truly great? Maybe one or two get drafted with different coaching but I feel we need a big recruiting boost to get back on a nationally competitive level.

Have been in Orlando the past week. The small snapshot of fans I talked to here are already talking about who they will likely get when Scott leaves. It's surprising how many locals don't even know the UCF team.... Poor local support in general.

I actually thought about this yesterday afternoon while standing on the sidelines of Memorial Stadium. I was watching my son play his last high school football game. It was a pretty tough day emotionally for all involved. My son's team came up short but he played a great game. I believe Riley has been a part of enough of these "lasts" to know how it should be for him and the players. Give 100% on the field and walk away with class... That's all any of them can really do.

I hope Scott watched the class B championship last night. There are a couple of York boys who need to be wearing red on Saturdays... in addition to Masry. Wouldn't mind seeing their coach get a chance on the staff as well!

I don't know about you guys, but I've never told my boss I am quitting until I'm prepared to walk out the door and into my next opportunity. Coaches don't exactly give notice unless they are retiring.
