Transfers from UCF (UCF Sucks- Who Can We Steal)?
Huskers93-97 replied to ScottyIce's topic in Football Recruiting
keep in mind bama was where Nebraska is before saban showed up. Michigan hasn't been nothing for 15 years or more and harbaugh came. Nebraska is 1 great hire from being back. What was Florida before and after urban? What is USC post carrol. Point being we seem light years away but a great hire brings us back quick -
Transfers from UCF (UCF Sucks- Who Can We Steal)?

I was listening to 1620 the other day and they were discussing this topic. Alabama, Oklahoma, USC, penn state. All the traditional powers had runs of 15-20 year down periods and ran through coaches every 3-4 years till they got the right one. So all traditional powers do that, Nebraska didn't invent the idea. Some people are not scared of high expectations. -

Because it's so hard to fathom that someone might have a connection to frost when the guy grew up in Nebraska, and played ball at Nebraska. Anyway sounds like bookie is gone. Wonder if he will early enroll wherever he goes -

Every coach worth his salt wants new challenges and be real UCF is a stepping stone not a destination job. -

That's fine. Let's just see how it plays out. FYI I never said if the source was ex players or not so your speculating how close to frost my source is. -

No I am not basing it off what public figure ex players are saying. I don't really care if anyone wants to believe it. In 2 months I imagine things will become clear what happens. Moos may do his own thing and not even go after frost -

I would say what I have heard lines up pretty well with this article http://www.omaha.com/huskers/the-story-of-scott-frost-s-love-hate-relationship-with/article_d23a0bb0-ba7f-11e7-85a1-07e004b8e998.html -

Which part? I have never said anything on this board claiming to have a source just to sound important. He could change his mind like anyone but as of now he wants Nebraska job -

Your right there is no evidence, but if you know anyone close to frost. He is coming if offered -
california is not the only place to recruit. Florida and Texas are equal or better than cali. Frost for example would probably greatly increase our ability to recruit Florida. Also because of his time at Oregon I am sure he recruits California just fine. Riley is not the only coach with California connections. The results on the field must warrant keeping Riley. To get to where we want to be the coach must recruit and be able to coach.

Joel Klatt just put out a statement Scott Frost is the #1 coaching option in the country. That kind of buzz if we hire him would help to keep the class together.

If Lindsey can thrive with a new coaches system i dont see why he would leave. -

Maybe that is all we have to offer with Riley as our coach. But Nebraska has strong facilities, a winning tradition, strong fan base, blackshirts. We have pretty much everything going for us here, we just need someone to resurrect some of those things that are hard to sell now because we dont play good defense or win many games. Aside from having strong local D1 talent consistently in our state- we have available to us everything you need to be a contender. -
No arguing that. I think we need someone at Head Coach who runs an offensive system that gives us competitive advantages without having to pull in .98 guys at every position. The osborne Option I Formation system gave us that advantage. The frost spread does the same thing. To run Pro Style offense I think you need a level of consistency on every play and every snap that is too hard to get in college.

If we make a big name hire, or the hot national commodity like it sounds frost could be. They should have the ability to pull some kids even if they are late to the party. I would think Frost could swing a dual threat guy to come here late. Kids love his style of offense and pair that with Nebraska prestige and facilities

Season falling apart, recruiting class has major cracks in foundation. See you later Riley -
I just mean this class has been all focused on .90 and better guys for most part and now all our offers are .85 or lower. Seems like just trying to fill class
-
How mobile is Gebbia?
-
Honestly is .76 rating even someone who should be playing at power 5 level? Not just any power 5 school either. Big 10 is probably top 2 power 5 league. How many guys probably rate out at .76 in the state of nebraska? Couldnt we get a local kid rated that if we want a development project?
-
Can we just check with frost and see who he wants us to recruit at QB
-
also i think wisconsin sticks in their backyard or surrounding states. They dont reach to california to pull in a .76 guy. What i see is desperation from the staff to fill the class. Has anyone else noticed the last chunk of offers popping up on this board are all low 80s or worse players?
-
starting to feel like a pelini recruiting cycle. Start offering a bunch of low 80s guys to fill the class.
