  1. Did you read the books? I just finished the first two and they are excellent. Side note, I simply couldn't get into GoT. Gave up after 4 episodes, nothing about it hooked me and I love sci fi/fantasy.
  2. I mean, continuing to play "Glory Days" before every game is a jinx if I've ever seen one. So, sarcasm....or truth with the music???
  3. There is very little we can truly count on with Husker Football. His red hedges are one of the things we can.
  4. Watching the Avs tonight, and Wyndham Clark was at the game. Announcers mentioned he credited sports psychology and the mental side was what has allowed him to become a top 5 golfer. I can't help but feel we need more of that at Nebraska to get over some of these humps.
  5. That they are. Saw it was 80% Nebraska fans and again was one of those reminders of how we deserve better than we get for the level of support.
  6. Hear me out. Is it possible that most fans of these schools, especially ones not living in Iowa or Nebraska, don't really care that much about any rivalry? I just don't feel it personally. It will take a long time for Iowa to even feel like CU to me, let alone Oklahoma level. I dislike Wisconsin the most, but not really even there.
  7. Making connections like that should be banned.
  8. So Alberts buyout pays for the new guy for a couple years basically?
  9. All depends on if they can shoot. aTm gives up a lot of 3's, but they are a very good rebounding team. If we aren't making shots, this isn't a good matchup but I am hopeful!
  10. I can think of at least 8.1 billion people I'd rather see take the job.
  11. I want to play Tennessee for selfish reasons, my yearly college buddy trip that year would most likely be to Knoxville. Ultimately I want more W's and to experience the playoffs however, so bring on the cupcakes.
  12. My hot take: I don't mind Friday night primetime games, and prefer them to Saturday 10 AM kickoffs even. College football should either be played under the lights, at least to end from afternoon kicks or be night kicks altogether. I also don't care at all if it overlaps with HS football.
  13. I saw that, and thought the same. Then I see 2-8 road record and some of the shine wears off. Still a great season, but do I have much confidence in neutral court games in the B1G/NCAA tourneys? Not really. I could see them winning, but I could also see them being one and done in both which would be a gigantic bummer. I hope they get it done, but all I can do is shrug and wait and see!
  14. Page edited an hour ago by an IP in Nebraska, FWIW
  15. People love to say that, but you know you will still care. So will I. So will 97% of people, plus some new fans who thought college football was the weird one all this time and now are interested.

  17. We're way too busy thinking about how bad we've been for the last decade to give Iowa much thought.
  18. Nebraska. Still living in Iowa fans heads without even really remembering they exist most days.
  19. Why hasn't there been an organized breakaway for football from these clowns yet? This is just beyond comical. Make football it's own entity, with a commissioner, and let the NCAA run the other sports. Go back to regional conferences for those. It seems so simple to me. The idea of where to go I mean, not necessarily the implementation, but how many other sports with this much money at stake have this figured out already?
  20. That argument is flawed though. The rules are the same for everyone to win a championship, regardless of if qualifying for a playoff is easier or harder. The regular season still means the same, and so does winning a championship, based on the criteria of the sport. The regular season is part of the season, so is the playoff, they aren't separate entities in any sport.
  21. I don't get at all how it makes the regular season any less meaningful. It is basically the same it's always been, you need to have a really good regular season to get to your goals. If by that you mean a team must go undefeated in order to have a meaningful regular season, then I have never agreed with that argument and never will.
  22. I think 12 is fine. Reward some with a bye and have a great chance for competitive first round, on campus games.
  23. I actually lived in Boise for a few years and the wife and I road tripped up the Oregon coast while we were there. Loved it so much we took the kids back last year for a week. I didn't spend much time in Eugene, but did drive through.
