If they only have 4 qb's on the roster and three are scholarships and one is a walk on hopefully it doesn't come to that.  I only asked bc recent Nebraska starting qb's have gotten hurt throughout the years and we have had to go to back ups.

We started a TE at QB for the majority of last year.

  2. They don't catch it because there are no symptoms, my father had it and they only caught it by doing a scan for something else.  He ended up living 2 years after diagnosis, but it was a mistake they caught it in the first place.  He ended up with 3/4 types of cancer however from his time in Vietnam and taking a few agent orange baths.  Thankfully my Mom is still being paid 100% disability for all that fun.

Best wishes to the Sharpe family, terrible.

I hope this isn't the year (or next) when they significantly cut the number of bowls.  Hoping, worse case scenario, we go 6-6 and can still slide into some craptatstic bowl.  Hate to be the year we are finally bowl eligible there is not enough bowls....

Why did you have to go and speak that into existence?  That would totally be a Nebraska thing. Go 6-6 when the new criteria is 7-5.

Jokes aside, they won't do that. Greed rules this sport now.

The first season (8 episodes) of 3 Body Problem is out on Netflix. I like it a lot so far. They do a pretty good job of feeding you the info needed as it progresses but it wouldn’t hurt to do a little research first if you have no clue what the 3 body problem is and if you have no clue about the book. It’s a rather odd mix of 50 year old Chinese history, Physics and aliens. Same show runners as GoT and, so far, 3 actors from GoT  (Samwell Tarley, Davos Seaworth and the high sparrow).

I really want to finish it tonight but have an Avs game to watch so it might have to wait one more day. Hopefully they get season 2 out more expeditiously than the GoT seasons.

Did you read the books? I just finished the first two and they are excellent.

Side note, I simply couldn't get into GoT. Gave up after 4 episodes, nothing about it hooked me and I love sci fi/fantasy.

He really needs to read Huskerboard.  If he’s serious about winning he needs to understand we have to ditch adidas and change the music that plays in the stadium.

I mean, continuing to play "Glory Days" before every game is a jinx if I've ever seen one. So, sarcasm....or truth with the music???:dunno

I think our mental block is more playing away from home than in the NCAA tournament.

Watching the Avs tonight, and Wyndham Clark was at the game. Announcers mentioned he credited sports psychology and the mental side was what has allowed him to become a top 5 golfer. I can't help but feel we need more of that at Nebraska to get over some of these humps.

A ton of fun… until 15min mark of first half. lol…. Husker fans dominated and are awesome though.

That they are. Saw it was 80% Nebraska fans and again was one of those reminders of how we deserve better than we get for the level of support.

As an Iowan Living in Iowa who roots for Nebraska, i will never believe another Iowan rooting for Iowa Schools is Thrilled to work for nebraska.

Hear me out. Is it possible that most fans of these schools, especially ones not living in Iowa or Nebraska, don't really care that much about any rivalry? I just don't feel it personally.  It will take a long time for Iowa to even feel like CU to me, let alone Oklahoma level.   I dislike Wisconsin the most, but not really even there.

And then there is the Trev factor playing into this. Man it is hard thinking he is the opposing AD.  But as someone said - they aren't playing Trev.  I think Fred will keep them focused.  They showed some mental toughness this season - Fred's career at Neb was on the line if they didn't play well.

All depends on if they can shoot.  aTm gives up a lot of 3's, but they are a very good rebounding team.  If we aren't making shots, this isn't a good matchup but I am hopeful!

  10. My hot take:  I don't mind Friday night primetime games, and prefer them to Saturday 10 AM kickoffs even.  College football should either be played under the lights,  at least to end from afternoon kicks or be night kicks altogether. I also don't care at all if it overlaps with HS football.

You who have little doubt.  Every 1st half too, lol....

    18-1 home record - that's hot

I saw that, and thought the same.  Then I see 2-8 road record and some of the shine wears off.  Still a great season, but do I have much confidence in neutral court games in the B1G/NCAA tourneys?  Not really.  I could see them winning, but I could also see them being one and done in both which would be a gigantic bummer.   I hope they get it done, but all I can do is shrug and wait and see!

We all know it's about money, TV ads, Execs getting paid.  Who cares anymore.

People love to say that, but you know you will still care. So will I. So will 97% of people, plus some new fans who thought college football was the weird one all this time and now are interested.
