  1. With Spano back next year I don't LW gets a shot. I think he will be a "fall into the crack" player and that is too bad.
  2. 1. @Missouri 97- I didn't see the catch because I sitting behind the band 2. Michigan State in the Alamo bowl- 2002. Watching Ritchie Incognito go bi-polar on everyone was fun(including his own teammates) was a ball. Also Bo's first head coaching job 3. Notre Dame in South Bend 2000- really a home game 4. Notre Dame in Lincoln 2001. This was my dad's last game he went to. Shelly Smith, the Espn correspondant, is a very close friend of my sisters and she came up and sat with dad at half time He just blushed the whole time from the attention. 5. B12 championship 99(yikes, I think) in the Alamo bowl.
  3. Kansas is a perfect place to season one's skills.
  4. oh come on! Don't even come off this way. The rest of the country didn't see the way I saw it, but that doesn't mean I have to insult the winner.
  5. This is pure crap. Most kids don't care about conference, they will go where ever they can start at. The school carries a lot more weight than the conference does. How is this pure crap and how do you know that kids don't care about conferences? Think of a talented Dallas kid that's dreamed of going to, um let's say, Texas. Texas doesn't offer him or the situation there is not favorable to his development as a player(like being too deep at his position), so he goes with a team that might be their rival, or at least a team that is familiar. How many newspaper articles do you think are published about Nebraska sports outside of the conference? Not many. There was literally a three paragraph game summary of the Nebraska/Texas game in our local out-of-conference paper. I bet alot more Dallas/Houston kids know about Nebraska then kids from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan. The coach is the biggest factor in recruiting. Pete Carroll doesn't have any trouble bringing East Coast players out west. The only conference i heard of have that so many people have pride for is the SEC. So many college players want to play in the NFL and will go to programs that will help them get there. Trust me if Coach Pelini becomes a top tier coach he won't have any problems recruiting, players will want to come to Nebraska. Oh I am not saying the coach doesn't matter, but to say that conferences don't matter is way off base IMO. Not every kid is looking for the same thing and there are at least 10-15 great coaches out there and every conference has a couple. He still gets to choose from a few select coaches of which he is familar due to conference exposure.

  7. My prediction is that the 4-0-7 is a very clever Pelini trick and that we will go back to a more traditional defensive look? I just remember all the hubbub over recruiting Will Compton, and now he's not playing too much.
  8. I am assuming we will when Suh is gone, but maybe not. Bo said the defense will be better next year. Any thoughts? And would you come to Nebraska if you were an elite linebacker prospect?
  9. What a man!!! He was certainly raised right.

  11. I really hope he wins, but do I REALLY think it? No probably not. But he deserves it more then any other player just using rational analytical thinking. If I had to put a percentage on it I would say 20%, based on nothing just a guess.
  12. What do they have 1/3 of the ballot? I know they think they have a statistical number to accommodate region bias and other considerations, but come on. Is 7 years enough of a trial to get an accurate sample? I think not. better watch tomorrow
  13. We are having a Heisman party tomorrow at our bar in New Iberia, Louisiana. One free drink when you show up and "strike the pose" and then 2 if Suh wins it. We announced it tonight at karoke to much applause. We are doing our best to convert the masses down here and it seems to be working. I will try to post a picture of our billboard, but it will not be early.
  14. Man o man. Not only am I too old to know how to post images, but I have no idea what you said. Is it laugh out loud what u talk'in'about?
  15. Can you imagine what the rest of the country would say about us? We couldn't handle the b12 so we left. And hat would they call it? The Really Big 12? Big12 lite? No, I don't think we should
  16. For images, do you insert them thru the icon on the above tool bar or cut and paste?
  17. HOW'D THEY EVEN FIND HIM? DOESN'T HE LIVE UNDER A BENCH?
  18. These pictures are hilarious!!!!!! Thanks guys!! This could easily replace the Brent Mushburger/Jack Arute drinking game.
  19. How do they vote? Is it by email? I wonder if they allow O.J to collect call it in?
  20. I'm growing tired hearing what a honor to it is to get invited. If I were better with this darn computer, I would love to do a historical search on Suh's season #s versus other the stats of other DTs from years past. and then do the same with Ingram and Gerhart. They are great players, but in the history of Rbs, are they special when compared to previous Rbs. I am sure I would find that he deserves to be there as much, and probably more, as the other finalists.
  21. I figured I missed something. I knew it was discussed last week, but still just thought it was a rumor.
  22. Anyone else heard this? There's a link on Gene Menez's twitter page. Don't know how i feel about this.
