They do look like a solid well coached team that gets a lot out of the talent they have.  Probably the biggest knock of Ferentz was that he used to get too conservative with the offense play calling.

Well chemistry, rhythm, fine tuning your game plan to strengths would come to mind.

In the end, a kid attempted to make a mature, positive comment after what they probably obviously know was a terrible loss. Quit over analyzing the words and accept his point that they aren't giving up on the season before conference play even begins.

^that's true too.  They have to find a way to keep going.  I think we can be desensitized to the emotional fragility of our players.

The people making these lists usually put 15 guys they really think are quality on the list. 5 or 6 who are interesting even if they may not be good and 4 or 5 who are a joke just to generate conversation. Plus they leave 2 or 3 out who would generate more hits by leaving them out. I keep telling myself that anyway.
