  1. I think BK realizes the error he made, and will apologize and ask him to come back "home."
  2. Exactly... which is why it's so important to keep him on board.
  3. I live here. BK is making moves. If you don't think he's reaching out to those guys, you're crazy.
  4. I was worried about that too, but I don't think Coleman would've committed unless he was convinced that Mickey would be back. That said, I definitely think Brian Kelly will make him an offer after this season. Mickey, Malachi, Omarion Miller, and AJ Allen could all end up at LSU.
  5. Don't get me wrong, I like Mickey, but why are so many so keen on keeping him as HC? You can hire another top coach - Kiffin or Aranda for example - and keep Mickey on staff, since he seems to be ok w/ that. That way you're getting a double dose of greatness.
  6. I like him. But again, how will the rest of the state react toward his 'questionable' morals and character? I think the fact that he Nebraska roots helps.
  7. I just don't believe there's any possibility we get Stoops. He has absolutely zero reason to leave Lexington. He's got it made. I honestly don't think it'll be any of those 3.
  8. Do you really think there's even the slightest chance that Deion Sanders will be the next HC of the Nebraska Cornhuskers? I sure don't. An African-American coach trying to garner attention for HBCUs, taking a big-$ offer to coach at one of the most white-bread schools in the country. He'd be labeled an Uncle Tom before you know it. It's just not happening.
  9. Talk of Day possibly jumping to the NFL eventually
  10. Yep, Fickell's just biding his time at Ohio St. Lite until Day rolls out. No need to leave the state.
  11. I'm talking for a top-tier coach, not one of those run of the mill Joe Blows.
  12. I think MJ is giving it is best shot and is hoping for the best, but is well aware of his own limitations. There's a big difference between being a position coach and a head coach at a D1 university. I think he'll be perfectly content knowing he did his best, and remaining on-staff with a hefty pay raise and perhaps the title of recruiting coordinator.
  13. I'd call $6-mil/year a lowball offer. You want an elite coach, you want an elite program, you gotta pay elite money.
  14. Stoops isn't coming here. He's got it made in Lexington. Fans content with 8-win seasons, and a successful bourbon company. Only way he leaves Lexington will be in a pine box.
  15. He’s raw, no doubt, but Mickey has plenty of experience in that regard. I think Omarion Miller could be an immediate contributor.
  16. Only way that happens is if Mickey isn't here. If Mickey stays in some capacity, Coleman isn't going anywhere.
  17. But why would he leave Washington after one season?
  18. Living in the heart of SEC country, the general sentiment is that he isn't very good. Bama fans would LOVE for us to take him off their hands.
  19. ZFG. I just didn’t jump on the Leipold bandwagon and I’m not going to. A bunch of people posting laughing emojis isn’t going to change my mind. They did the same thing last year when I said I wasn’t sold on Chin. Well? M.A. probably said it best… Like good teachers and other professionals, some can be viewed as a-holes. That’s usually associated with their demanding nature, standards and a desire for excellence.
  20. Heck, even if he doesn't reach bowl eligibility there will be a goal portion of the fan base that wants to keep him because the players "play hard" for him
