  1. He's going to be hosting Dawson Merritt, 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ LB from Overland Park on his OV in June. By all reports Merritt over the top loved his unofficial visit this the weekend and their families hit it off well too. He'd be huge pickup and has offers from just about all the blue chip P5 teams.
  2. This was posted over at another site but since the poster copied it from another board and the author stated anybody can post this anywhere I thought some here might be interested. Enjoy. Great observations from somebody that was at practice since we don't get much of that these days. Should really get your juices flowing. I added a few more paragraph breaks for readability and let the spell checker fix some typos.
  3. Watch the PC's with the coaches and players or read the PC coverage articles for a more serious take on spring practice. These "Hilites" are seem to be a tongue-in-cheek, almost satirical production of the athletic dept more for entertainment value that providing any insights.
  4. I agree. 5-2 (or 4-3) is where I expect them to be after the first 7. Then it will be a huge challenge to get 1 or 2 wins in the last 5 games looking at the schedule. UCLA and then getting another will be difficult. Just like last year it will be nip and tuck getting bowl eligible.
  5. Hmm. He ranked #8 in completion %, #12 in passing yards & #10 passing yrds per game our of 130 FBS teams last year. He was 31 for 42 (74%) for 393 yrds with no int. agains NU. Pretty good numbers for somebody that's "not that good". Wish we would have had a QB that was "not that good" last year.
  6. I agree. Throw a few more porta-potties under or outside the south stand bleachers and call it a day. Hate to see them put well over a half billion dollars into a facility that is so hopelessly outdated.
  7. Thanks for doing this since was one of the people who couldn't plow my way through the original unformatted version. And it was a great read Madcows.
  8. Yep. If the OP can't bothered to make an attempt at readability I can't be bothered to try to wade through that alphabet soup of a post.
  9. Being a Husker fan over the last 25 years has been tough. Honestly, I'm about worn down emotionally. Between the divisiveness, incompetent leadership, incompetent hires, and self serving administration has been tough to take. And now just when it seemed the ship was being righted and several of the programs were on the rise we get kicked squarely in the nuts one more time. I guess that should have been expected though. I'm not sure how much more I can take.
  10. Sure didn't see this coming. Must be a pretty toxic environment in NU's system.
  11. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they canned both series, especially Tenn. Things aren't like they used to be in the Big 8 where you had OU and maybe one other team that was decent every year. Now we're in a league with OSU, Mich, Penn St, Wis, Iowa, Oregon, Wash, USC & UCLA guaranteeing you'll get several games every year agains top 20 teams and probably more than one top 5 or 10 team.
  12. Have to believe we are at the point we actually need to prove it on the field before most people are going to be picking us anything. After seven years of convincingly winning the offseason then proceeding lay an egg the following season a lot of people are leery of DONU. And with good reason IMHO.
  13. 2028 is long ways away and lot will change between now and then. At least I hope it does since 9 of those 12 teams you like so much are better programs than NU at this point in time judging them by their records over the last several years.
  14. Hope he can get his mind right and adjust to the culture here. HCMRh's comments about him on signing day weren't very encouraging.
  15. I think the next logical step in further reducing the the number of plays clogging up the games between commercials will be to make incomplete passes only a temporary time-out. After an incompletion the clock will only stop until the ball is set and ready for play at which point the clock will resume. Just like it is when a player runs OOB now or how it used to be after a first down. Mark my words, that day is coming and probably sooner rather than later. Less football and more commercials is the recipe for success.
  16. I believe they already released the schedule or at least the media knew about it. Callahan mentioned on their podcast that everything was moved up by 2 days that first week so they could have the entire Easter weekend off.
  17. Jacory Barney's first day with the Huskers - Welcome to the great white north. Probably wondering why he ever decided to leave Miami https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2NwnjYv9v6/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet
  18. From 24/7 @ the Polynesian Bowl first day practice. https://247sports.com/article/polynesian-bowl-top-performers-from-day-1-of-practice-225487523/
  19. Neither will anybody else, for this year at least. I can see this becoming SOP as we go forward so kids can transfer every year with no penalty. It will truly be the wild west with no rules. At least most schools probably won't allow enrollment once the semester has started so they'll be forced to stay with a team for at least the whole season. No free agent transfers in Oct or Nov.
  20. According Callahan CT returning is not happening.
  21. Not in the least bit surprising. I'd also expect Chubba Purdy to enter the portal if/when McCord/Raiola commit. Our likely QB room next year will be KM -> DR -> HH. Not taking a HS QB last year was maybe not the best choice.
