  1. He’d risk alienating too many Trumpers.
  2. A whole year for roids in the spring seems excessive, unless a repeat offense, but who knows.
  3. No you’re not. The Dem’s error ( in an electoral way) by no longer appealing to the moderates. For better or for worse, but sometimes to their own peril, they give a voice for the LGBT for example, which most Americans, IMO struggle to identify with. So they definitely could take a more moderate approach here and risk alienating the far left—but I’m not holding my breath.
  4. When the appropriate tools are in place, it’s easy to see how perception becomes “reality”.
  5. This take is exactly why I feel Democrats fail miserably with many moderate voters. D’s either are or at minimum, give the impression that they are too lax at the border. I agree that existing Hispanic citizens don’t necessarily want more Hispanics here if they’re crossing illegally.
  6. The SCOTUS isn't about the "law", but rather a perpetual extension of the partisan agendas of current and past POTUS administrations.
  7. Appreciate the explanation. It speaks volumes about the voting public. I wonder what the partisan tendencies of the youth (Gen Z and Gen Alpha) of the country are trending towards. Or, maybe that generally stays consistently. I would think that with all of them either still in or recently coming out of school and considering the first president they would really know much about being Trump (and all his shenanigans) plus in the wake of school and other mass shootings, these youth would trend toward Democrat.
  8. You honestly think Trump would be favored against anyone with a pulse after 1/6 and all of his other baggage? People came out in droves to vote against that bastard in 2020 and that was before he conspired to steal the election.
  9. So she changed her mind. BFD. The fact that you find it funny is disturbing. Cheney is investigating crimes by those in power that this country hasn’t seen before. The voters of Wyoming want to punish her for that and in doing so are showing how pathetic they really are. You just made it clear which side you support.
  10. Gee it’s funny how with re-election out the door, he suddenly has a conscience or just wants to do the right thing. #termlimitsforcongress
  11. I agree and would also like the Ds get their s#!t together and realize that people getting motivated to get out and vote "not Trump" will only last so long. Both parties need candidates that can win over moderates from the other party. I'm getting tired of trying to decide which A-hole I dislike the least.
  12. I think you and most other Americans overestimate the ability of a president given our current political setup. It's why midterms generally go the way they do. Every POTUS gets (and accepts) too much praise when things go well and also takes too much blame for things not going well. What really matters is congress, and specifically the Senate. But, with the filibuster and no term limits in place, no meaningful legislation from either party is likely to get passed. And who knows, maybe that's a good thing. So as long as we don't get another Trump, I don't get overly concerned who the POTUS is--as their abilities are somewhat limited. Just as long as they are a decent person, represent the country well and don't alienate us from the rest of the world--i.e. not Trump.
  13. Another perfect example of what is wrong with this country and it’s politics. It’s all about the party and the agenda. Morality left the building a long time ago.
  14. McCarthy's vengeance against Cheney is because she is refused to let go of J6 and is participating in the investigation into J6 and because his actions that day and those following make McCarthy look bad. Plain and simple. Calling out Trump, then going to Mar-a-lago and kissing his a$$ and then refusing to cooperate with J6C . McCarthy would prefer that J6 be swept under the rug and forgotten about. He can spin it any way he wants, but anyone with an open mind can see this. Cheney is a Patriot. McCarthy is a sleaze ball. One of these two Republicans has been chastised, censured and is currently being driven out of the party because of this. The other is among the top leadership and may soon be the House Speaker. Although D's certainly aren't perfect and I don't agree with everything on the Democratic Agenda, this is a perfect example of why I will never join these a$$h@!es and identify myself as a Republican.
  15. Lindell went way beyond just getting involved with politics. He attached to the Big Lie and took it to the Nth degree. The guy just acts certifiably nuts. Who the heck would want to support his business? I think many people don’t have a problem with different political views of business owners as long as they’re respectful and somewhat open minded.
  16. Put the companies who are currently making record profits “ out of business “. Hmm. Nice try Tom Fitton.
  17. It’d be hilarious if they sent 3 freshman walkons who haven’t played a snap. And then they just talked about trying to make the scout team the whole time.
  18. So according to Trump. Red flag laws= Soviet Union (which doesn’t exist). Florida Republicans enacted red flag laws in their state and good on them. So is Trump equating Florida with the Soviet Union? Doesn’t Trump live there? Maybe he’s trying to tell us something.
  19. An opinion from their leader nonetheless.
  20. Good question. As it stands now with the current events of weak gun control and Trumpism, I cannot think of a single Republican I’d vote for ahead of Biden. I don’t care how old he is.
  21. It seems that’s where it’s heading, but all the different “courts of public opinion “ will have already made up their minds before any real trials even take place. I would think this would increase the likelihood of unrest during and after any trials take place. I hope I’m wrong, but I feel the way people are already divided on Trump’s guilt, this is heading up to an ugly situation.
  22. All you prosecutors or legal experts out there. If J6C comes upon clear cut evidence of sedition conspiracy with Trump and/ or other “big fish “, wouldn’t they halt the public hearings and immediately refer all evidence to the DOJ? Or is there value in getting everything “out there “ prior to any possible indictment? Or does the DOJ reach out to the committee and ask them to put a hold on releasing more findings, if they (DOJ) feel like they already have enough for indictments and a strong case? I guess, what I’m getting at is at what point do you worry about poisoning a potential jury pool?
  23. I do appreciate someone taking the time to do this summary and include what appear to be links for those looking for more information. This case here is the only one of the examples I'm familiar with and unfortunately is somewhat misleading and potentially biased summary of what actually happened. For example, why did they feel the need to mention the bar owner was white and Mr Scurlock had an infant daughter? To make Mr Scurlock seem like the victim?? It might appear that way. Many people, including the county attorney agree that the bar owner was justified and lawfully defending himself in this tragic event.
  24. Agree 100%. Something has to be done. If this is it, then at least it’s better than nothing. I would like to see a lot more done, but starting small is probably the only way to get something passed.
