  1. Other than maybe Carter Nelson, this is easily the biggest in-state get this year.   This dude can play defense.  If you haven’t seen him play yet,  you’ll see, eventually.   Maybe even next season.  IMO his football smarts are super high!  He’s underrated as a 3 star.   His HS team is so dominant, he hasn’t really needed to do much this season.   Opponents don’t throw his way and don’t punt to him ( a good returner too). for good reason.

What I’ve been saying for weeks was reinforced. That we go 5-1 down the stretch and get 8 regular season wins..

The Big 10 has perhaps the best three teams in the country, and then hot garbage to fill out the rest. (This is good for a Nebraska surge to end the season).

I’ve been waiting too many years for the SEC to cycle out as the dominant conference. I think it’s finally happening.

I’d rather be a team that loses a tough defensive battle than a track race shootout. #coloradosucks #deionsucks

I hope you’re right.  The barriers to this type of success as I see it are an inconsistent ( and mostly bad) special teams and our history of not stringing together >2 wins in a row.   If Rhule pulls off an 8 win season, he should be national COTY.

  3. Iowa wins games with field position thanks to their unreal punter.   Their crappy offense just has to muster 1 or 2 first downs and the field is flipped.  And the defense keeps everything thing in front of them and waits for the opponents talent deficient offense to make a mistake.  It’s crazy how well it works against the non-PSU, OSU, UM teams.

With all due respet, weve got some larger than life folks out there.  How is that going to handle the weight of a 300+ pound person

Strength wise.  No problem with all that aluminum bolted into concrete.  But width wise might be a problem for some folks if you’re referring to the seats.

I think he is a great player, but I think health has been an issue.

Collar bone on a nasty hit game 1 last year.  Pre season ankle (I believe)the year prior and only missed a couple games.  Can’t recall much else.  Nothing in the nagging or re-injury category.

It's obvious the defense is Nebraska's strength, so the offense needs to help the defense more by not turning the ball over, controlling the clock, and better 1st down efficiency. Way too many times during the Northern Illinois game where, imo poor play calling, ended with the offense with a 2nd and 12 or 2nd and 15. There's nothing wrong with gaining 3 yards on 1st and 10. But playing with 2nd and long is going to hurt against better competition.

This.  Plus I think Sat’s sometimes erratic play calling makes it difficult for the O line to get into any rhythm.   I certainly felt that way with Frost at the helm.  If we’re moving the ball stop with the fancy stuff on first down.

A guy like Paul Chryst is a special analyst at Texas who just beat Bama. Why can’t we find room for him in a serious role on our staff?  We lack serious OL and QB coaching and it has greatly contributed to 2 losses.

I agree.  Serious programs hire coaches who are in between jobs for roles like this.  Nebraska has always hired no names and recent college graduates.

Continue to deflect from your bad take.

Just to refresh everyone’s memory.  Take us through what you’d have Sat do to stop Sims from dropping a snap(s).  Or what work you’d encourage for him to stop throwing directly to the other team.

How would you coach him up to correct the errors?  Or you want to continue to focus on a typo?

Why?  I’m not paid to do fix quarterbacks.  But, I can see when those who are didn’t get the job done.   Maybe he’ll turn it around, but I have my doubts.

The best you can do is a grammar error fat fingered on cell phone auto correct?

I promise changing “that” to “like” doesn’t make your post any better.

It was actually your post.  And you are right.  It's still no better.

This why message boards exist.  For people that you.

Thats all you gotta do.  Make him a better player.  More “don’t fumble the basic snap drills”.  Maybe sprinkle in a “Hey don’t throw it to the other team session”.

The flaw is they brought in the wrong guy, not that they can’t coach

Starting with “for people that you “, your post makes little sense.

It's hard for me to hate on the OC when the QB is terrible, and the line is bad as well.

Isn’t it the OC’s job to make the QB into a good player?  Especially when they’re also the QB coach?  He went out and got a QB with a history of turnover problems and said QB still has turnover problems.  Somewhere there has to be accountability.

Rhule better hope Tony White stays with us.  I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be for a defensive staff and players when the offense is an absolute s#!t show.   Satterfield should be fired immediately and Simms shouldn’t play another snap.  But neither will happen.  And Nebraska will continue to be the laughing stock of the college football world.

This season is over. Marcus Satterfield at this pace will be fired & Sims will transfer again. Hopefully Donnie Poo Poo too. This is a maybe 3 win team.

Optimistic.  I don’t see 3 wins.   La tech and maybe northwestern.   We have a pretty good defense a below average special teams and the worst offense I’ve seen at Nebraska in 40 years.
