“Coach Prime wants to stay down south “
”Fickle won’t leave the state of Ohio “
”Trev is getting a lot of ‘No’ responses “
”There are only a couple jobs Rhule would consider and none are currently open “
”Wisconsin is locking up Leonhard so nobody else gets him”
I swear I heard those things. At one point I actually talked myself into believing the one about Trev. Apparently BS makes coaching searches fun for fans.
On offense for sure. We could have hung 42 on them, but nope. Shut it down and almost screwed it up. I’m glad we won, but jeez….step on their damn throats.
Lousy coaching by Nebraska. Let Iowa right back in it when they couldn’t stop our pass. I get the whole run out the clock thing, but there’s no killer instinct with this program. Hard to watch.
Interestingly not a complete denial. "Unless something significantly changes"---like getting offered a better job would qualify as significant, wouldn't it? I still think he goes to Auburn.
At this point, if it’s not UM, it’s going to be difficult for me to get to optimistic. DeBorer, might move the needle, but everyone else is just “okay” in my opinion. Been burned too many times.
I don’t even care anymore. I’m waiting to see who the assistants are and what kind of players they can get for next year before deciding if renewing my tickets or not. I’m kind of just “over” this program. There’s better ways to spend my time and money.
again, go back and see what I was responding to. I'm not diss'n Rhule. Just pointing out a similarity to he and DeBorer.
Please people, go back and read more than a page of posts when responding to avoid taking something out of context.
Go back and read the @RedSavage post I was responding to. It has nothing to do with what that. Context matters.
But since you kind of asked, I think Rhule would be a solid hire.
I doubt he wants to leave, but if NU is his destination job, then maybe…. I’d say he’s got a good job now and it would be a tough pull to get him to leave it.
