Probably knew of him previously because of connections in Georgia. He decommitted from Georgia before the first signing period, huskers offered in late December, he visited Jan 12th and loved it. Took other visits afterwards, but decided to be a Blackshirt!

I have no doubt that he'll try. He might even succeed. If not... 2017 = Guy Thomas 2018 = Caleb Tannor and/or David Alston 2019 = Owen Pappoe We'll have other pass rushers develop under this staff.

I hope there's not lightning that day... might be rioting in the streets if it gets cancelled.

Maybe we cooled on him... Our corner depth is going to be tested again this year. Hopefully we can land some studs next year.

Montgomery - appears to be headed to Maryland, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's wrong Palmer - most would be shocked if he doesn't pick NC State, this is a shock I would love to get Bell - ASU most likely Robinson - Mississippi St.?, unless there's room for him

Ah. I was impressed that when Held went to visit Maurice Washington in early January, the first thing he did was check his academics. I would think this would be standard procedure for any coach, but apparently some do it more than others. I realize we may still get burned by academic risks occasionally (Jaron Woodyard is already an example, though he probably still makes it), but I'm optimistic that this staff will not count on academic risks to fill an entire position for a recruiting year. Use the +3 to account for guys that are questionable.

I know a picture doesn't necessarily answer this, but the fact that both Fisher and Held are with him in the first picture makes me think they've discussed both and made sure he's comfortable with both position coaches.

Probably a long shot considering he cancelled his visit this past weekend. Not saying we can't still get JJB, but if we do it won't be because the Treenuts are full.

Wrong player. Tannor has been offered by Auburn. Cam Taylor has not.

Pretty sure his high school head coach got hired by Rutgers, so this is him suggesting one of the current high school assistants for the next head coaching position. Speculation on my part.

I think if we get: Washington JJB and/or Tannor Canty or Bell or Robinson Montgomery or Palmer I would consider this class a great success and much better than most of us could have hoped for. If we only end up adding 4-5 when we could go up to 7 with known attrition, that just means we have openings for grad transfers, regular transfers, late signing JUCO's, or added schollies for next year's class.
