  1. He's right you know - Sorry if I offended any of you, didn't mean to imply, AT ALL, that we were "much better than you". I thought our special teams won the game for us. We averaged 54 yards a punt (including a 79 yarder that was only a 54 yard net) and we took one back to the house. We did fumble a punt, but D showed up and held you to a field goal, and it looked like we were faster. IF that isn't what you saw then I don't know what else to say. Good Luck Huskers!
  2. Just got back home from a long weekend in your great town of Lincoln. The fans, ambiance, knowledge, stadium were/was incredible. Things I learned were: Misty's cooks a GREAT STEAK; Single Barrel was a GREAT TAILGATE; Railway district (?) and Haymarket were just fun and festive on Friday night, Saturday was a bit slower, understandably; Stadium experience (other than hot as blazes - this from a guy that lives on the gulf coast in Florida) was phenomenal; KC Argosy Casino are thieves - they took all my money! Your patience will be well worth it when Frost gets the guys he needs to run what he wants to run. Both teams have some discipline problems they need to shore up. No doubt our Special Teams were better - by far and our team speed showed up when running guys down from behind. Koening (Troy DC) did a great job combating your size and strength on the O line and we got great pressure on your QB; Our offense was just good enough on that last drive to make some great plays (our speed again) and turnovers are killers, and we just had less than you! Great time folks - really enjoyed it. I hope with all my heart that your team gets some things righted internally and Martinez gets healthy and your guys walk into the Big House and take care of business. Good luck the rest of this season and beyond. Go Troy - Cry HAVOC and slip the dogs of war!
  3. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and opinions. Funny, they are very similar to the people I know, wide and varied! We plan to tour the scene on Friday night - we are 'old folks' but are young at heart and sometimes allow our hearts to overrun our heads, so we will likely be in and about the campus area on Friday night. I am assuming most of these places are around the campus. Most of the Troy Fans (I think we may bring 500 - big for us) are meeting at a place called the Single Barrel for our pre-game. Any comments, good or bad, with this place? It is afterwards we are looking for, we will probably uber in from the hotel (unless there is a shuttle - anyone?) and then find a place to meet. Many of us are interested in the Boise/OSU game as well as the LSU/Auburn game (remember where we are coming from) for our after party, someplace with good menu, between $$$ and $$$$. Our accommodations are on Cornhusker Way and appears there are several areas in that area as. I am assuming that there is Uber/Lift are readily available on game day? We are hoping for great time, great game and opportunity for our program! Hope to see some of you at your tailgate! Go Troy!
  4. Hey Husker fans, Troy fan here coming into Lincoln for this weekends game and would like ideas of what to do on Friday, best place to visit tailgaters, parking, places to eat, sports bars, etc. We have played there before however I wasn't able to attend so this is a going to be a great adventure! Would just like some hints where we might have some FUN BANTER back and forth on Friday as well as a great place to go afterwards to watch the rest of the college football action (I LOVE 11:00 kicks!!!). Any help or information would be greatly appreciated! Go Troy!
