  1. I think he is already going through a lot with what's happening in California. And I don't believe in double jeopardy at the same time. I experienced that when I was military and it sucked. But he should at least be held accountable for the drug paraphernalia charge. And that may or may not involve running stairs until he pukes. Let's just wait to see his verdict in California and let the coaches decide what's best for the program.
  2. I sure as hell don't, but at the same time he is not a great reflection on our University right now. I really hope the kid can grow up and grow up fast. He should have felt he was on thin ice well before the drug paraphernalia issue came out.
  3. Well I guess there are a few on this forum that struggled with reading class in elementary. When did I ever say I support MO being kicked off the team? Also to the other guy, when did I ever suggest that teams and states don't have laws/rules lmao?
  4. So the future of our program is dependent on one player? Granted were weak on the RB position, but I'm not quite sure our year will be determined whether MO plays or not.
  5. Yeah, MO was just holding onto it for a friend right? Still drug paraphernalia in a dorm room breaks teams rules no matter how much you want to defend him or not. Look, if you dont like state laws move to another state. If you don't like team rules, play for somebody else.
  6. It applys to both. You break the law or break team rules you should be held accountable whether you agree with it or not.
  7. Please stop twisting what I said. All I said is those that break team rules should be held accountable. I dont care if its underage drinking, smoking pot, etc.. You can't compare murder as the same crime as a trafic violation. Which for the record I don't disagree or agree with liberal marijuana laws. It should be up to the people of the state to determine what they want for the most part. Pretty sure were supposed to be talking about MO's case on this forum instead of having a political debate.
  8. Going 75 over in a school zone is straight up negligence as compared to doing ten over on the interstate. This why the violation is treated differently. And I don't compleatly disagree with you, we have a young team that I'm not quite sure was held accountable under coach Riley and staff.
  9. The culture isn't solely based on lifting and being a bad a$$, but doing the right things as well and developing young men into becoming adults. I know some have mentioned this offense is the same as being pulled over for a trafic violation. I disagree, being pulled over for doing 10 over the speed limit is completely different then using an illegal substance. Who cares what California and Colrado does? Rules are rules and laws are laws whether you agree with them or not. I dont see how this argument is justifiable.
  10. I think there is some that is missing the point. Sure it's a minor offense, but MO already has a dark cloud hanging over his head. The kid is only a sophomore and it's already the second time he has found himself in trouble. Granted 19 yr old kids make stupid decisions, but this wasn't just dumb but selfish as well. He wasn't thinking about the team and I'm sure that's not the culture Frost is trying to bring back to Lincoln. Regardless of your stance on pot, he broke team rules and should face consequences. Because what's the point of having team rules if kids don't feel like they will be held accountable for breaking them? Now whether that's running more stadium steps, game suspension, or in MO's case getting booted off the team, that's the coaches and the Univerity's decision. But I'm sure they're thinking of what is better long term for the program. Frost keeps talking about how we need more leadership and thats probably why he doesn't feel like we're ready for a unity council yet. I miss the days where if a kid did something stupid they were more afraid of dealing with the team and guys like the Peter brothers and Barret Ruud then they were of Tom Osborne.
  11. Was MO in Nebraska when he sent that video? Because Nebraska doesn't have a revenge porn law. We are only hearing one side of the story and its hers. Instead of jumping to conclusins why not wait until all the details are out before trash talking the kid? Im pretty sure innocent until proven guilty is still the law of the land. As far as we know she could have been embarrassed about the video and claimed rape meanwhile it was actually consensual. She never did file any charges and Mo wasn't involved with the video. The fact of the matter is kids make stupid choices without thinking about the consequences. I'm guilty of it and I'm sure just about everyone of you is as well. Also Frost and his staff probably didn't know the extent of it. And if they did, all it was at the time was an accusation. You don't boot /suspend a kid based on accusations. If he is guilty there should be disciplinary actions and the coaches should decide what they should be. Not some husker fan/spectacular on a forum page.
  12. It's just too bad that Harrison Beck didn't finish his career with Nebraska. Between Callahan's genius coaching ability and Beck's cannon of an arm, Nebraska would have 7 national titles and a back to back Heisman trophy winner. I once saw Beck throw a Nerf Vortex 68 yards with just a flick of the wrist. When Parker Brothers asked him to take over the commercials for John Elway he had to politely decline. Because Beck knew if he threw a vortex as hard as he could he would destroy a satellite orbiting the earth thus endangering wildlife and mankind with the debris. Harrison Beck was not just the most talented athlete known to man, but a humble and thoughtful guy as well. And therefore he should be a role model and inspiration for us all.
  13. No I totally agree, the stock market is not a good indicator of economic growth on it's own. America measures it soley on GDP.
  14. Oh I have a very good recollection on it because I actively trade. The market skyrocketed after the 2016 elections and dropped off right after the 2018 midterms. Prove me wrong.
  15. And you didn't find any humor in that? I know I was laughing my a$$ off when I heard it live on the debate stage in 2016. That will probably go down as one of the best comebacks ever in American politics.
  16. I'm not a 100% Trumper for the record, so I'll call Trump out when I think he says or does something stupid. Both sides are hypocritical and love to point fingers at each other. But the left is far worse IMO. So please try not to associate me with one of those closed minded Trump supporters while I'll try not to label the you as a closed minded Obama supporter. I actually didn't like Trump during the primaries, I was a Marco Rubio supporter. But I have come to grow on him over the last couple years. -The wall? Right when I heard Trump say Mexico would pay for it during the primaries I Iaughed. What incentive does Mexico have to pay for a wall that doesn't benefit them? Through trade? Good luck on that one buddy. Although trade has greatly benefited the U.S. as a whole since Trump took office. -Can you give me an example when Trump was crying because of the DOJ? Critical yes, crying about it no. Name one president that has never been critical of our the three branches of government before. Dont worry I'll wait. And can you tell me when he "promised to lock her up." I assume you heard that from his supporters during one his rallies. -Hey, I didn't have to say it you did. Obama deported more illegal immigrants then Trump did in his first two years so thank-you for being informed. Trump hasn't lied about Democrats wanting an open border. The democratic party has shifted significantly when it comes to illegal immigration and now you actually have politicians campaigning on it. You're exactly right when it comes to NATO, the U.S. is the only reason why NATO still exists and only because of the U.S. taxpayers dime. We foot the bill while all these other countries pay almost nothing to benefit from it. I don't have a problem with Trump putting pressure on them to start paying up. Regarding waterboarding, it's pretty irrelevant to today's political climate so I wont waste my time trying to discuss that topic with Landloard or anyone else right now. If it's that relevant then start a thread.
  17. Never claimed that, but its ignorant to blame it on Trump when clearly the market started slipping after midterms.
  18. Funny how you say that but don't point out where I was factually wrong. FAIL
  19. Trade wars have been going on long before the market kept on slipping. Try again
  20. You really need to fact check dude, sounds like you're making up your own facts and listening to left wing news outlets too much. -Trump has started building the wall, he just doesn't have the entire funding for it yet which has to pass through Congress. Will Mexico pay for it? Hell no. -Actually Hillary has been going through multiple investigations before and after Trump was elected. - Many illegal immigrants have been deported under the Trump administration. It was going on under the Obama administration and well before him. Don't recall the left crying about that though. It was the left wing media that said he was going to deport everyone not Trump. -Trump never said he would ditch NATO, he said he would consider leaving NATO if other countries didn't start paying their fair share. Which btw, more then a few countries have increased their contributions since then. Trump said he approved of waterboarding, not that he would enact it through Congress or enforce it through EO. The infrastructure issue is more of a non partisan one. The Trump administration was smart enough to save that for after midterms while trying to pass everything they could under a Republican controlled Congress. I guarantee you that you will start hearing about infrastructure more in the near future. -Trump never said he would ban all Muslims from this country. Thats CNN, MSNBC, and every other liberal Trump hating fake news network that reported that. -I don't recall Trump ever saying he was going to extradite Syrian refugees. What he did do was put a temporary travel ban on specific countries that has correlations to high terrorism. -Lets face it, a President is not required to relese their tax returns. Will he? I assume not. But wouldn't it be funny if he trolled the left in 2020 like he did with Rachel Maddow? -Ill give you the reduction of tax brackets argument. Trump didn't really campaign on it much and it wasn't in the tax cut bill that he signed. But I could really care less because I saved $3000 a year by switching to Trump. Want me to keep going because I can. I can also give you a much more lengthy list of failed campign promises and lies under the Obama administration if you want to play this game. But I assume you wouldn't take the time to fact check and respond like you did with this last response. -
  21. It blows my mind how so many people don't understand how the stock market actually works. As it has always been said regarding the market, what goes up must come down because it obviously can't continue to climb forever or everyone would be filthy rich. The stock market is greatly influenced by consumer confidence. Hints why it skyrocketed right after the 2016 election when Trump was elected POTUS and Republicans controlled both the House and the Senate. So why not take the time to see when the market started to decline right? Ironically the market started to decline right after midterms when the Dems took back the house. But that has to be coincidental right? I find it funny how the left has been silent on this topic over the last couple years, but now that its slipping they come out of the woodwork pointing fingers at Republicans saying"hey, I told you so." It doesn't take a genius to figure out it was going to eventually drop off.
  22. If you can't see his agenda then I don't think you have been paying much attention. In 2016 when he was campaigning he made it blatently clear exactly what his agenda was going to be and he is doing just that. Cutting regulations, stronger military, control illegal immigration, lower taxes, balance trade, appoint conservative Supreme Court Justices, eliminate ISIS etc. But somehow according to the left its doomsday for America.
  23. If the man already has migrane problems now, imagine how he would feel after after a street fight with Coach Frost.
