  1. I am all in! Good luck Coach Rhule! He's turned around lesser programs although the first year has been painful so better stock up the beer fridge.
  2. I have heard reports that Rhule is in serious discussions with Nebraska. After watching Nebraska and looking at the familiar NFL version in Carolina. Is that a win for us or ?
  3. why are we playing 10 yards off of a TE? Are there any actual football coaches on the NU sidelines?
  4. This bunch is the weakest Husker team, beating any of the Riley cupcakes by a huge margin. I give him a 10 for squatting over a rolling punt tho so there is that
  5. does anyone on NU know where the first downs markers are?
  6. Embarassing. Play to lose since the 2nd quarter. O-Line can't move anyone off the ball, Grant refuses to hit the hole and always tries to bounce outside.
  7. So sad watching this version of Nebraska football. poll question: Who fieldeds the softest Nebraska team? 1. Riley 2. Callahan 3. Frost 4. Today at Michigan
  8. We stop them and stop them. 31 yards in a half. Then we can't stop them and more we can't stop them. This is mostly on Whipple, apparently he has not informed Purdy he can step UP in the pocket instead of feebly retreating every time. We have TE who cannot make a catch/drop a catch without getting up injured. The only who benefits from this masquerade in the textile industry. Gonna cost me a fortune to replace all of my Husker gear. Man i miss the Coach Oz days of complaining because we lost to Oklahoma again and finished 11-2, another season down the drain...
  9. For us to get a glimmer of the success we have had in the past is to return to that past. Recruit the pieces for the option. RB's will come here for it, lots of action for them. Big earth movers from NEB and parts elsewhere and a bunch of speedy under sized LBs and DBs. We beat them before with regularity because they did not have the assignment discipline or strength to change their mind frame as we pounded them. To do that we need to hire coaches where one of their major positives is they can recruit. Don't have to have the 5*s but a sprinkling of 4*s among the 3* we normally get put together in the Nebraska way is our road to relevance. I really think its the only way.
  10. Yes Nebraska is still a "name" That type of cred is built up over decades, anyone ever hear that Notre Dame wasn't a top job? NEVER. Michigan? NEVER. That is built thru our lifetimes. No one remembers Alabama sucking in the 80-90s with Perkins, DuBose, Schula. In out NC year of 97 Bama was 4-7. So quit that bs we're not a name program. We lost our way like ND did with Faust and Bama did with those guys. Eventually we will find our match and start building. I like Micky but he's not the cat for us right now. Last time we were truly competitive was with Callahan because he could recruit, Big X12 championship game lost by a last second field goal. Since then we have been run out of the big moment games.
  11. And now A-Mart just got K-State a win over the #9 team in the country 48-0 Need more beer. Sliver of hope is Casey didn;t look too badly hurt on the sidelines at the end of the game.
  12. There is no power in this O-Line to run anything. The weight room is full of cobwebs. they would be better served to just all fall down and make the defense jump over them.
  13. Purdy starting the 2nd half horrible coaching decision. Defense line unbelievably weak. Horrible tackling (still) Receivers dropping balls wide open. There is no toughness on this team. The millenial huskers is what we have. Apparently the safe spaces are on the sideline. See ZERO leaders on this team and that includes Reimer. But Reimer is the only one on defense showing up. Stupid play on that one but i'll take a team of Reimers. Not that Mickey can change the players but they are woefully unprepared. The great play before the half for illinois was not a great play design. You seem Newsome sprinting out of his area to help triple team a guy while brown runs all alone in his area for an easy td. Thats coaching and it is still being done at a high school level.
