  2. And NOT give it to someone (Warner) who elevated themselves from Walk-on to Starter? Unplug your computer. Disconnect the router. Unplug the monitor. Unplug your TV. Throw them in the trash. You don't seem to understand being rewarded for hard work.
  3. I was kidding about it costing games. Not kidding about it being uber-weak, when you should be pumping people up. The sarcastic poster (above) is correct about "Dancing Queen" being about the only song they could play that would be wimpier.
  4. Va Tech rocks Sandman and other songs that actually promote testosterone. We hold hands and sway to "blessed rains in Africa". "Africa" rocks about as much as Mike Reilly creates tough football players. I've been around music/bands/bars/sports for over 30 years. There are songs that promote energy (and fights in bars) and songs that CALM people down. Tell me how many bar fights start while "Africa" is playing. Sandman starts fights. Africa stops them. You don't even need bouncers as long as the DJ has a copy of "Africa" ready-to-go.
  5. Sounds like we found the stadium DJ, or his 12 year old daughter, who thinks "Africa" rocks.
  6. Whatever pumps you guys up. I'm sure there are wimpier songs out there, I just can't think of them. I feel SO BAD about messing up those lyrics. Blessing the rains makes so much more sense and provides the football meaning I was missing from that sissy-assed song.
  7. I blame the PA disc jockey. "I felt the rains down in Africa"? What the hell, are we trying to lull ourselves to death? Who thinks a terrible BALLAD from 1983 is a good idea in the middle of a football game? It doesn't relate lyrically or have ANY energy. So weak. Don't ask me how I feel about "electric avenue", at least it's crowd-pleasingly stupid, even if it's terrible.
