      Pretty sure the teams are set up regionally so all players from a college have to play for a certain team.

      It’s a little more complex and less restrictive then that. 

      But it does make sense when seeing so many players are on the stallions. 

       

      Teams will have 50 players on each roster, with some selected by a territorial draft.[15] The territory assigned to a team consists of at least five colleges plus designated professional teams, one Canadian Football League, and four NFL teams, for those from Big Ten and the Big 12 conferences.

       

      edit: the last sentence didn’t really make sense or add value as it seems incomplete. It seems that BIG 12 and Big Ten teams are not aligned to any specific team as far as potential “rights” to players go.

       

      the stallions do have rights to The Broncos and Vikings players which is where most of those Nebraska players came from.
