  1. !?!?!? How much can we get to run the water table? Should we reach out and see? I’d wear an OU hat for a cool $1500 and front row tickets to see OU get spanked! I’ll even act shocked and disappointed that they lost.
  2. That’s exactly what I’m saying! Touchdown Whoever’s
  3. Let’s be real though… if A. Brown doesn’t fair catch that ball, it bounces off of the 5 yard line and straight in the air. Instead of just landing on the 1 and stopping, the ball would instead catch the tip, just for a second, just to see how it feels… bounce 15 yards back the other way, hitting an oncoming and unaware Husker. After hitting the Husker, it would magically land in the arms of the most unathletic player on the opposing team, who would run it in for a 19 yard fumbled punt recovery touchdown. The curse is freaking real.
  4. This would be the thing that would make the KoolAid run dry in my house. Please, Cam, please just stay. I’ll buy a damn shirt.
  5. I’d take the banker from Fort Collins back before the former head coach in Fort Collins.
  6. For the hundredth time… I’ll do it for free! It can’t get much worse.
  7. He was CSU’s head coach for a bit. Not a fan of his.
  8. Brian Kelly was supposedly with a ND recruit in home a couple hours before the news broke that he was leaving for LSU. Recruiting doesn’t stop, so this isn’t a surprise at all to me.
  9. My buddy just said “Dis bih ridin high to NIL payoutville!” I can’t stop laughing.
  10. My wife went to school there for 2 years while I was in the USAF. ACU is a strange school. They get a lot of good players who were overlooked in Texas and surrounding areas.
  11. The bleacher report had me. I thought this was real. The Twitter handle is missing the “t” after report though. Dang… the drama.
  12. Feel free to ““ at everything I just said. Feel free to call it a “moral victory national championship”. The stadium will be full Friday, and NEB will hold Iowa to less than 250 yards. Adrian will have one fumble and one INT. The offense will get 400+ yards. Special teams will miss two FGs. The game will be within 9 points.
  13. First, I understand everyone’s frustration. I’m sick of losing these games too. Here’s another perspective I think is important to consider. I learned that if we had hired Mel Tucker, and signed him to a 10 year deal, people on this board would have been calling for his head after yesterday’s pathetic performance. I learned that the coach in Ames isn’t the right replacement, because they’re 6&4 in his 4th year. I learned that the coach at Wake Forest isn’t the answer because he can’t beat Clemson in a down year. I learned that Coastal Carolina’s offensive coordinator isn’t the answer, because they could only muster 35 points against a terrible Texas State team. Here’s a hard pill to swallow for many on this board: Since 1970, only 13 teams have been able to stay within 9 points of their opponents in every game: 70, 71, 79, 80, 82, 83, 93, 94, 95, 97, 99 & 2021 (so far). Those are some great teams! Best in our history. You don’t do that with a “broken offense”. There may only be one schedule in those 12 other years that was this tough… maybe. This team didn’t quit on their coach like many of you have. The D held another team to under 400 yards. The offense put up another 400+ yard performance against another great defense and looked like it wasn’t missing 4 coaches. The system isn’t broken, the player development was. 4 new coaches who can develop their players 3/4 as well as Sean Beckton has put this 2021 team at 10 wins or better. Frost’s problem isn’t his system. The yards are there to prove that. It’s his loyalty. Loyalty to friends who couldn’t develop players on the offensive side of the ball. Adrian is a good QB who makes the same mistakes in year 4 as he did in year 1. You can’t expect to win when your QB averages more than 1 turnover a game. The oline is young and undeveloped. Running backs looked better yesterday than in the previous games, and they weren’t our best players at the position. Special teams has given up 44 points this season. The team has lost by a combined 49 points. The stadium is full every weekend… can you say the same for every top 25 program? Camp Randle looked pretty bare in spots yesterday. As did most of the games I watched yesterday across the country. Fan disappointment is real. Fan apathy? Not even close. We’ve never experienced that, and we never will, because we have the best damn fans on the planet. Frost IS the right guy, he’s still a young coach and he’s got a lot to learn. His team did something this season that hasn’t been done since the glory days. They don’t have the record to show for it, but the point difference tells a huge part of the story. If they stay within 9 of Iowa… that’s progress on defense. A few players developed on offense, and a special teams coach and look out 2022 and beyond.
  14. MSU got scared he’d bail for SEC opening. They did what they had to do. I love it, because NEB will be beating them next year. 10 win season coming up. … looks around kitchen… ”Mom!!! We’re out of KoolAid!”
  15. Joe Burrow is the thought process. There is no Joe Burrow if someone doesn’t take a chance on him for his senior year. How many guys are backups at great power five schools that never get a real chance like that?
  16. I actually think it’s a prime position to be in; once the offensive staff has been identified. A guy that is second string with first string potential steps right in with little competition.
  17. Thoughts on Tom Manning? He’s friends with Campbell at ISU, but money talks. “Tom Manning, OC, Iowa State: You have to rewind back to the Cyclones’ 2018 season, when Matt Campbell called the plays to appreciate his worth. Iowa State finished 96th nationally in total offense, including last in the Big 12 at running the ball that year. Manning came back to Ames in 2019 and made changes. Iowa State improved drastically and finished 27th and 34th in the FBS in total offense for the past two seasons. Quarterback Brock Purdy led the Big 12 in pass attempts during that span. Not to mention Breece Hall led the FBS in rushing in 2020. Every year the Cyclones’ offense gets better under Manning’s watch, which is a scary thought, considering how star-studded they’ll be this fall.” https://stayaliveinpower5.com/2021/03/31/college-footballs-10-best-coordinators-of-2021/
  18. I must have missed this somewhere. I thought Alante was recovering from being injured two seasons in a row, not in the doghouse. Was he in trouble for something?
  19. Flushtradamus prediction - Huskers beat Wisconsin and Iowa to finish 5-7. They get a bowl game offer and take it. They beat their opponent in the bowl game by 30. heading into next year, Frost gets 9 wins and gets to keep his job, breaking the Solich curse.
  20. I hope some of them see that they need to make a strong impression to be considered as a player in the remodeled offensive scheme. The two best things you can do right now as a player in this situation is 1. block like your mom is back there, and 2. protect the ball when you have it.
  21. Here are a few things I found interesting from today. These two comments from Trev- 1. “But I want to first say, that Scott and I both understand that our results are not what they need to be. Nobody is suggesting that where we stand is comfortable and/or acceptable long term. But I also think in just observing and watching some things that are very, very important to me in terms of the unity of the players, the work ethic, the togetherness, those things are there. I talk about incremental progress and I've seen that in some key areas." 2. "I don't believe it's the athletic director's role to tell a coach, 'You need to fire this coach and hire that coach.' I like to ask questions. Most of it was fairly self-evident to Scott. I think he knew that certain changes had to be made. But this was Scott's plan. This is Scott's plan that he brought to me. The way these things work is that Scott brings plans to me, I bring plans to my bosses, and ultimately you try to gain some consensus. I believe in the plan that he's presented and I'm looking forward to working really hard with him and seeing if we can execute it at a high level and be successful." The last few minutes of this video from Sam McKewon: 4:40 on was very interesting Sam says “I think this job, the Nebraska job would have been pretty attractive in this cycle. There is a sense that I got over the past week or so, that things were going to be more palatable, in terms of a candidate perspective, than… maybe some people think. I think this job is probably better than a lot of people think it is.” You’ll have to listen to the rest on your own. It gets… interesting. The final thing is that on today’s “B1G Today” Dave Resvine, Howard Griffith and Nichole Auerbach talk about how Nebraska is a much better team than their record. Dave calls the Huskers defense “Elite”, and Howard says “those who think this team is bad aren’t watching the games.” 16:30 in they talk about OSU vs. Nebraska. 18:30 they shift to talking strictly Nebraska.
  22. Is that a good “Damn” or a bad “Damn”? We don’t want that dam to break and the portal to be flooded. (Pun intended)
