was in downtown and haymarket. took forever to get served in some places.... lots of "help wanted" signs. $10/hour ain't gonna do it
-
i did see a barry's "make nebraska great again" shirt out and about today in lincoln. chuckled to myself. surprised they weren't forward thinking and went out of business. HA

This is 2010 realignment thinking. The Media rights are no longer based on potential tv viewership. There is a reason why the pac-12 tv contract lags behind the rest of the country. Yes there are lots of people out there but no one cares about college football. It’s NFL and other stuff to do.
-
yep. and rams used to be there. i see 10x the amount of chiefs gear than (huskers, mizzou, iowa and iowa state combined)
-
should be interesting. LOTS of empty store fronts downtown
-
Too many NFL teams in the Midwest. Vikings, Packers, Bears, Colts, browns, bengals, Steelers. Only so much money and time.
-
This merger would severely reduce the big10 payouts. this is never going to happen. People in the Midwest/west don’t live their lives for college football like the south.

12-24 team complaining about a road trip. I will never get it.
-
Really? An easy power 5 road win got him fired? Dumb

So NU SHould Have Went Back to the Big 12?
internetman replied to Nebraska55fan's topic in Husker Football
this is literally ESPN changing college football for their benefit. They made a bad business decision by giving the BIG12 their contract and I think COVID aided in this greatly. Bob Bowlsby says he has proof that they (ESPN) was conspiring with the AAC to destabilize the remaining big12 members in-order to get out of what they still owe. I do not believe he would have said this without absolute proof. Lawyers would not allow that. ESPN is under contract with the remaining big12 members for ~720 million (~30 million * 3 years * 8 schools). Their plan is to get all the big brands (or as many as possible) into the SEC and lock down that contract for 20 years. Trying to get ahead of any chances the streaming services getting involved by illegally manipulating the market. -

How long until athletic departments lose tax exempt "non profit" status? There is about to be a lot schools left out.. a lot of jilted lovers.... Are we done pretending athletic departments are here for the students interests?? -
ok but then the kid's parents must get on social media and announce ANOTHER LEMONADE SELLOUT. in reality it doesn't matter but its July and we are tired of talking about conference realignment
-
I have no idea. if someone like me had the answers.. it would have already been done.
-
i understand what it means. but at what point are we just peeing in the wind and telling ourselves its raining.
-
It seems like such a weird thing to hang your hat on. if you’ve been to a game in the last 5 years…. You know it wasn’t a “sell out”

the big12 schools have to act like everything is fine.... it will help in court against UT and OU. each will owe 76 million to the big12 if they leave early. -

its because espn decided they wanted the big12 to remain with texas getting the longhorn network. the tv networks are literally deciding how college football works. not the schools. -

if you think kevin warren is deciding the future of the big10...... the dude isn't even dealing with football anymore. thats Barry A. This will be decided by the university presidents and ADs -

if the big10 doesnt add some elite western teams (pac-10) i dont think ohio state or michigan stay around. especially if SEC raids the ACC -

I dont think mizzou would leave the SEC for a stapled together BIG10 (added pac-10 teams). this all screams ohio state and michigan will be with these other elites before long.
