What has he done to earn that?
What kind of chance has he been given ?

Whip has a workers compensation injury and should milk it. It's a win for him and a win for the program.

Well, one had 2 yrs of the old qb coach and his third year seems he isn't being coached at all by the qb coach. Little telling when he says in the post game presser he didn't speak with Whipple in the second half. Makes you wonder if he is even being given a chance to succeed.
Agree here. It would be nice if a coach would commit to Smothers for a couple of weeks.

It's baffling how past administrations and much of our fan base have forgotten that we're not ever going to be successful running the same schemes as other schools located in recruiting hotbeds. We don't have the recruiting base to do that. Osborne knew this and built a juggernaut that eventually was able to recruit against the upper echelon in college football especially for skill players that fit his team's identity. I gotta have faith TA is on it.
Let's hope !

Think of it this way - that’s like having played in 2 bowl games each season! Here we are - all unhappy - when in reality NU can pack an extra quarter’s worth of action into every game almost. Getting our fan money’s worth!! Lol
Frost did change the culture - it’s hurry up and lose brought on by no fear of failure.
His roster developed an almost a don’t care about winning just play the snaps and individual players’ stat sheet. This dude is spot on.

Rahmir runs to the right there he keeps running, instead he runs into the defender.
Saw the same thing

By the end of this game, Corum will have 200+ yards. Our D is tired and our offense can’t sustain a drive. Mickey is as good of a play caller as Whipple and frost.
Not sure about that, he was limping when he came out the last time.

Honest question, who has said this is working?
No one

Chubba is not good and has no idea how to run, pass or slide.

Could someone help Whipple off the field ?

I was watching the Hard Knocks In Season for the Arizona Cardinals, and the first episode showed a clip of their passing game coordinator, Spencer Whipple. Sure enough, that’s Mark Whipple’s son. It’s so sickening how nepotistic the profession of coaching football is. It makes it so hard for coaches without family connections to break into the game and be successful.
On another note, Mickey’s brother, Vance, is the DC with the Cardinals, so the Josephs and the Whipples probably knew each other prior to this season at Nebraska.
Maybe Spencer is for hire ?

Won't have to worry about, I'm guessing he will retire after this year.
Why retire ? Let them fire him and take the contract pay out.

That's a reflection on coaching. The 3rd quarter play shows who made the best adjustment at halftime. Fleck is a good coach.
What did he have to adjust ? The 2nd and 3rd quarter were horrible with Chubba going 3 and out.

We were ranked higher on offense ONLY because Adrian ( whom some couldn’t wait to see leave, smh) carried our a$$ in spite of a horrible line and no running game. Nothing to do with coaching or play calling
Now he's doing it for KSU...Same old AM

Hire Prime, keep MJ to recruit, bring in Patterson as DC.
Not happening

1) Whipple is stubborn and can't adjust.
2) Mickey isn't taking enough control in areas of the team that are struggling.
Agree but it tells me the OC was the AD's choice...and he wants the HC to be a CEO

I've always preferred Calhoun over Monken. Every time we are looking for a new HC I mention Calhoun.
Would be an excellent choice

Am I the only one that does not want Mark Stoops? Not only should we not hire any more former Huskers, we really shouldn't hire more former Hawkeyes.
I'm in your camp

It’s actually inexcusable. The first two drives were great then in true husker fashion for the past 2 decades it’s like ok now that we know what works, let’s shelve it and try and be cute and flashy and try and get highlight reels. f#&%ing bush league coaching
Could not understand the logic

Right there with you man

If there was going to be an announcement in a few hours, there would have been an announcement that there was going to be an announcement in a few hours. I haven't seen anything about an announcement in a few hours, so I doubt if there's an announcement in a few hours.
Your logic is sound.
