  1. This right here. There are definitely some play calling that is questionable. (What was that garbage after Daniels picked the shuttle pass?!) But at some point, players have got to make plays. We should have opened up to a 21 or 28-0 lead. There definitely seems to be a loser mentality to a lot of these guys. Color me frustrated!
  2. Agreed. But I'm just a fan. What do I know?
  3. At this point, I think it would be kind of foolish to burn McCaffrey's RS unless we just absolutely have to. He's only played QB for one season in high school and needs time to develop and to put a few more pounds of good weight on. He's a project but it looks like there could be a lot of upside to him. As far as Martinez and Vedral go, I have to honestly say that Vedral has probably looked better this year, which I can't believe I'm saying. I was really high on Martinez. Before the season started, I couldn't think of another QB in the country I would have rather had to run our system. Now I wonder if he is actually the best that we have on this roster. Vedral just seems to be more decisive. Pretty baffling.
  4. If 10 is all in and 0 is all out I'm about 9.9 just because I don't like the way we've looked this year and we may be a little behind schedule. But in all fairness, the preseason expectations were pretty out of control. We lost 3/5 starters on the O line, a 1000 yard rusher, and a 1000 yard receiver and the offense sure looks like we're missing them. The roster is young, we just need to learn to be patient. As others have pointed out, Osbourne inherited a Ferrari and kept it a Ferrari. Frost inherited a rusted out '74 Chevy Vega that burns a quart of oil every couple hundred miles and is trying to turn it into a Ferrari. It's going to take a little time.
  5. I understand what you are saying and you are probably right. But didn't we do that to some degree last year and then the 4-2 run happened that gave us all the undeserved pre-season hype? If we shake it up on the line from a personnel perspective, maybe it could help? I just know that our line has been terrible this year. Example: In the 3rd qt it was 3rd and 20 and Vedral had to go to the check to the running back in the flat before a receiver would have had a chance to run a 20 yard route due to the pressure.
  6. One telling thing to me was that during garbage time, we had backups in (including Bunch and Belt) at the skill positions but we still had the starting offensive line in. That seems telling to me. I think our offensive line has been a weak link all season long. Don't know how you fix that mid-season but its a huge problem.
  7. ...well at least it didn't come down to that major concern. Sorry, just trying to make a little light out of this awful, awful game. Hoping for better times in the very near future! GBR!
  8. Well at least we're #1 in something....
  9. There was some play, I think it was in the 3rd qrt, where Adrian rolled right, checked down to Noa who was about 5-8 yards in front of him and successfully hit him in his shoes when the target probably should have been his gloves. I would say that one is more on him than the line. But agree, the line play is garbage.
  10. I'm not completely against it.
  11. That's kind of an accurate way of looking at it. How many times would that screw things up on a veer option or RPO? Quite a few I'm guessing.
  12. I agree the D got tired. I don't know if they necessarily quit. Agree that some competition at QB may not be a bad thing. However, if Vedral had to receive 50% erroneous snaps from the shotgun, his play may look a little doinked up as well....
  13. We really got exposed in this area tonight. (Bit of an understatement. Hell, it's been an issue all season long!) But I think this is probably the biggest reason why Martinez looks worse this year. He now seems to have "happy feet" which is not good at all for a quarterback. I am fairly worried if he can ever recover from it. I have to admit I was a little worried when Jurgens was named starting center with very little time even practicing the position in fall camp. It shows in his snaps (that seem to represent a Taylor Martinez passing chart) and I think that has thrown off Adrian's mojo from the start of this season. The rest of the line looks terrible as well and that could be due in part missed communications from the center position. Frustrating. Just frustrating.
  14. Thanks all! Appreciate the feedback. Not doubting any of you, but I noticed everyone was pretty quick to answer Frost. I'm just curious how you know that. Again, not doubting any of you, just curious why you all responded that way? The play calling seems different and myself and others I have talked to are just trying to put our collective finger onto why that is. Thanks again!
  15. What years have we won national championships?
