  1. I have looked at the schedule and as I stated in a previous post, Cincinnati and South Dakota State are not pushover teams. Central Michigan played good ball this year, and return some key players. You also never know what Northwestern and Purdue look like. For some reason they have years that they pull it together and have a winning season. I could be wrong, but...we’ll see.
  2. It’s okay to close your eyes and hope for the best. I have dreams for this team too, until I either come to a game or turn on my tv. After that, reality sets in and I realize that it’s just more of the same.
  3. Cincinnati and South Dakota State are competitors, and in a way more stable situation than we are. Those two teams play to win every game. As of today, us beating either of these teams would be considered an upset. Also, you never know how Illinois or Northwestern will look from year to year. It could be a walk in the park or dog fight. The last 5 games are scary. It’s like going through a gauntlet of terror. I see 4-8 next year, at best another 5-7.
  4. I agree, BIG10 is different from AAC and PAC 12, but we haven’t even been successful at beating the bottom feeder PAC-12 school (Colorado). I also doubt we can beat the good AAC or any PAC-12 programs. So, I don’t think this is no longer a viable excuse for us to make a comparison to. If I hear one more time that the players are the issue, I’m going to vomit. I keep hearing there is no leadership on this team from the players. Wake up people, OUR COACHES ARE THE LEADERS!!!!! By the way, let’s remember that Frost’s first recruiting class are Juniors next year. Enough with the Riley And Bo P. recruiting classes excuses!!!
  5. Good news, I think we did some good and bad things in this game that we can focus on in the offseason. Bad news is, next year’s schedule is even harder than this years.

  7. Oregon State actually could have been bowl eligible now. They would be 7-3 if the didn’t get beat by last second field goals in their Hawaii and Stanford games. Both games where they lead most of the game. And once again I’ll add, freakin’ Avery Roberts turned out to be a baller in the middle at linebacker! Leads the team in tackles, and is a top tackler in the PAC12. Happy for him and his success, but DARN, why or how does crap like this happen to us?
  8. Sad fact, we couldn’t even beat PAC-12’s new bottom feeder “Colorado”. And that was with our starters.
  9. Trolling? I’m not saying anything different than any other fan on this board. My only point was, is the real problem our coaches or players?
  10. Doesn’t surprise me. As we have seen from the past 2 seasons, they make the best football decisions.
  11. Player sources say he wasn’t blending well with Ruud and Chin. Also, he was never out of shape. He just didn’t fit what they envisioned defensively. Regardless, with him being chased off, his win is our loss.
  12. I wouldn’t put it all on the players. It looks like Avery Roberts is having a great year at Oregon State. Watched the UCLA, STANFORD, and Cal games. He’s balling out! Announcers talk that he is one of the best in the conference and will be on the All PAC-12 team as a sophomore this year. My understanding was that our coaching staff didn’t think he had the potential, yet he’s performing well. In 6 games he has 43 tackles, 2 sacks, and 4.5 TFL. Makes me think is it really the players, the system or the coaches?
