  1. Really? No good choice? A continuation of democracy over authoritarianism isn't a good choice? That's exactly what this election comes down to.
  2. I'm gonna guess his Twitter bio says "something, something Jesus, God, Patroit something" even though he's a violent, lying thug who tried to overturn our democracy.
  3. Oh what the browser history of our most ardent anti-trans posters might tell.
  4. Executions of anyone supporting any form of gun control legislation from the "pro-life" party.
  5. The Chosen One sends his Easter greetings
  6. The messianic complex seems to be going around in MAGA circles. Totally healthy outlook on life. Jim Jones might be a little envious though.
  7. The plan is to just blow through the Constitution. If the military is in your side what are the courts going to do about it?
  8. But Biden did a proclamation of inclusion for people MAGA deems to be sinful on a date they've been using for years and it just so happens the tomato seed date of Easter, a holiday which is supposed to celebrate redemption and grace, landed on the same date this year by coincidence.
  9. I'm surprised this hasn't been posted here So we could all fact check it and watch the backpedaling
  10. These people are proposing that women who have abortions and doctors who perform those abortions be given the death penalty in the name of saving lives. Even those who report to the E.R. in the midst of a miscarriage could be prosecuted for murder because, according to these people, most who do so are lying about it. The process of IVF will also be grounds for prosecution for murder because that egg that can frozen at -300f for 30 year is a human will full rights. They also propose that there be no exceptions for rape or incest but you know if their 14 year old daughter was raped and impregnated they're headed to the nearest state that allows for abortions. Remember when we were all told sliding down this slippery slope was hyperbole?
  11. I guess I'm still trying to figure out how a day that is intended to bring awareness and tolerance about a marginalized group that has historically faced violence for who they are is something that Jesus wouldn't have supported. The truly ironic part though is that the most outraged group of said tolerance supports a guy who openly talks about and was found liable for groping women against their will, cheated on one of his many wives while she was pregnant with a porn star, and is currently grifting off the Bible by trying to sell it for $60. Yet not only has there been zero outrage from MAGA about that they literally claim he is chosen by God. But Biden who actually goes to church..... Let's post images of him bound and gagged. The right-wing Christian experience in a nutshell.
  12. If you can just put on your tolerance pants and power through it you won't have to deal with it for another 62 years. Hopefully World Tattoo Day doesn't fall on a holiday anytime soon since we're casting about judgement on what is a sin and all.
  13. It's not designated to be on Easter. It's been on March 31st since 2010. I never heard about until today but a simple search disproves the notion that it's designated to be on Easter to poke the bear. It's an international day too. But MAGA never lets a good froth go unused, Christian-like or not.
  14. Outraged by the coincidence of Easter falling on the same day this year as some celebration that one would think real Christians would be ok with since it would allow for them to be inclusive. Or at a minimum tolerant. But no it's more Christian like to "meh" when the leader of one party is posting imagines of his opponent being bound, gagged and kidnapped. Peak MAGA. And of course MAGA is wrong again. https://www.reuters.com/fact-check/transgender-day-visibility-falls-annually-march-31-not-always-easter-2024-03-29/ "International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) takes place annually on March 31 to celebrate transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. It was not designed intentionally to fall on Easter Sunday as claimed by some online accounts.
  15. IX. Demonizing Americans with Whom He Disagrees "On Nov. 15, 2023, while announcing his 2024 presidential bid, Trump said in a speech at Mar-a-Lago, “the gravest threats to our civilization are not from abroad, but from within.”" He has called those who don’t support his reelection “demonic forces, abolishing and demolishing–and happily doing so–our country.” He later described the opposition as “Marxist, fascist, and communist tyrants who want to smash our Judeo-Christian heritage.” Nov. 11, 2023, Claremont, NH Veterans Day Event: Trump vowed to “root out” his political opponents, calling them “vermin,” echoing fascist dictators like Hitler and Mussolini. March 6, 2023, CPAC conference: Trump said, “If those opposing us succeed, our once beautiful U.S.A. will be a failed country that no one will even recognize. A lawless, open-borders, crime-ridden, filthy, communist nightmare. That’s what it’s going and that’s where it’s going … Either they win or we win. And if they win, we no longer have a country.” Oct. 22, 2023, Truth Social, Trump said: “Democrat politicians, mainstream media personnel and Hollywood actors and producers are brazen unapologetic Communists” Obviously he doesn't know what communism is especially considering that under Biden corporate profits are at an all time high. His base doesn't know what it means either but it touches them in giblets.
  16. Thanks. They definitely have some interesting African beans to choose from. I'll check them out.
  17. I just found this company about a year ago. https://www.freshroastedcoffee.com/collections/coffee/roasted-coffee+single-origin+caffeinated+medium?page=1 They have a really cool informative website where you can filter your search. I've been on a world tour of coffees trying to find my favorite. I stick with single origin coffee, whole bean. You have to at least grind your own. The Kenyan Peaberry is up there. The Ethiopian Sidamo Guji and the medium Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Kochere are great too. But I've yet to try one of their coffees I don't like. I like a lighter roast level (used to think bold was the way) as the subtle flavors don't get burned out and a more bold roast body. I really like the African coffees because of there fruit notes. Something I was ignorant about until I found this site. For more earthy notes look to the Indonesian beans. Central American are great too with more chocolate notes in general and usually lower acidity levels. The company itself has been great with customer service. I make my coffee with a cheap Mr. Coffee espresso machine. It does the trick (for me) as well as machines costing a lot more and I just look at it as disposable. They last four or five years so I get my money's worth. I kind of feel like I lost a lot of coffee years using Starbucks or the like. It's always a crapshoot on how fresh their beans will be.
  18. The Republicans internal polling underperformed by 35 points. The Democrats by 22.
  19. Pansies for speaking out about their employer hiring someone neck deep in trying to overturn our elections?
  20. I don't expect the bros who struggle with concepts like rates, ratios, and proportions to understand weather vs climate but I'll post this for people who actually can understand rudimentary statistics and trends https://apnews.com/article/hot-climate-change-records-oceans-0af09f155051b25d245a0fd28fe23af6 For the ninth straight month, Earth has obliterated global heat records — with February, the winter as a whole and the world’s oceans setting new high-temperature marks
  21. How Kim Jung Il of him to say so. Totally believable with that flippy action.
  22. I see the Russian disinformation bros are out in full force with the narrative that IS is a CIA backed organization and that they carried out the terrorist act in Moscow on behalf of Ukraine and the US. Like this guy.
  23. Bibi says "hold my beer"
  24. https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/22/europe/crocus-moscow-shooting/index.html "ISIS has claimed responsibility for an attack at a popular concert venue complex near Moscow Friday that left at least 40 dead and more than 100 wounded after assailants stormed the venue with guns and incendiary devices."
