  1. Dana was a 'Dynamite Offensive Coordinator' at Oklahoma State and was snapped up in short order for a head coaching gig at WVU. Maybe not HC material, but he can make an impact on our offense. https://tulsaworld.com/sports/college/osu/revisiting-dana-holgorsens-impact-on-oklahoma-state-more-than-a-decade-later/article_940ce380-849a-11ee-ab13-5fa08a5d6045.html
  2. I can’t believe the college football world lost its collective mind over this bum this week. We don’t have a Bowl, we need something!
  3. How much dissension will the 2,000,000 dollar QB create with our lowly 3* recruits, working the offensive line to protect the ‘Chosen One’?
  4. This is 100%, he would not embarrass his uncle with a retreat, this deep into the process!
  5. Great job Fred, stick it to Tom Azz o le
  6. This just shows us morons, we don't know crap about offensive line coaching. We have an offensive line Guru and have been trying to run him out of town, shame on our ignorance!
  7. The USC Trojans have Miller Moss and Malachi Nelson currently on the roster in the QB room, but it is almost guaranteed that Lincoln Riley will add one quarterback to the room via the transfer portal. Howard would be a great addition as a player with four years of playing experience. The fact that Coach Riley flew out to personally meet with Howard demonstrates how highly he must think of him.
  8. No doubt about it, he isn't there only look, but the fact that Riley has had 1st hand exposure to him, and has enough interest to pursue, is good enough for me. I'm sure we don't have a shot, if Riley extends an invite. I would think this would fill all of Howard's wants with regards to getting NFL favor: QB guru for a mentor, Big X exposure and potential to play in front of his family (Pennsylvania Highschool), USC athletes for receivers....
  9. Riley has seen him 1st hand while at OU, doubt he wasted a flight into Manhattan if he thought like 'Decked'

  11. ESPN has Howard rated the #1 Portal QB
  12. 16 minutes ago, Mavric said: "We" did recruit him. Just not all of the "we" were that excited. Yeah right, we just weren't that excited; and what might I ask does excite us! Johnson, the No. 1 player in Kansas and the No. 12 quarterback in the country, announced his commitment to Kansas State. Johnson picked the Wildcats over a long list of national suitors, including early offers from Arkansas, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Florida State, Missouri, Tennessee, Nebraska, Auburn and Washington, Oregon before selecting the Wildcats.
  13. chamrocck Members 5.1k Location: SoCal Posted 16 minutes ago So why is Howard leaving KSU? He’s been a good QB fit for the Howard was figured to be a mid-round 24' draft pick, after his sensational year in 2022. An early struggle, with a whole new receiving corp, this year set him back on his draft status. K-State recruited one of the top 10 high school quarterbacks in the country, Avery Johnson out of Wichita, and that wasn't going to happen if he was expected to sit the bench in his 2nd year. Don't think there was ever a plan for Howard to play at K-State in 24 and plan B was put in play, with the portal, to enhance his 25' draft status.
  14. Howard would be a huge plus with Fidone, regarding the heavy tight end usage in the offensive scheme of Klieman's offense
  15. word on KSU Campus is Notre Dame-Penn State (he's from Pennsylvania)-Illinois
  16. Not sure he is worth twice, of this guys salary (football and basketball hires are pretty darned good)! $911,250 The highest-paying athletics director position in Kansas went to K-State's Gene Taylor who took home $911,250 in 2022, according to govsalaries.com. The national average salary for athletics directors is $56,724 per year, according to indeed.com. Taylor
  17. i question the resilience of NU fans to have the patience to see this come to fruition in this environment; current expanded Big X and addition of the west coast big dogs and their recruiting base, our ability to recruit in this conference given our prior 2 decades of failure and no hot bed to draw from. This realistically may require 5 years+ to show anything beyond Minnesota/Purdue type results. I don’t see Rhule going anywhere in that time line, with the pay check he has been handed; but will he have the resolve and will the fan base have the resolve to allow that to take that length of time and more.
  18. K-State, KU, Okie State are in an enviable position right now; even though the Big xii may have only one representative in the ‘Playoffs’, there programs are in a position to be able to consistently take advantage of the landscape. If we were in the league yet, we would be ‘Top Dog’ and the team to beat for conference C-Ship, every year. Give me that over the money and looking at 5 to 10 years to possibly be relevant in the ‘New’ Big X
  19. seen this over on the K-State BB forum; what sane player wants to transfer to a 'boot camp'!!! https://youtu.be/K_VnVb7SF6A?si=7a3-Mcg-SxdZW-GP
  20. Joel Klatt said this morning, there were more viewers of Colorado/Nebraska than Texas/Alabama, on Saturday. Don't think that was a positive for our recruiting!
  21. Really good coaching recognizes and develops QBs’, Leopold goes into the muck of the swamp, at KU, and they come up with Jason Daniel’s and his backup would start at Nebraska (transfer from North Texas).
  22. We will need 5 TO’s and an average day out of Shedeur to be in this game! That was CU’s 1st game with an entirely new assembly of players and coaches and schemes, to put on that kind of consistency was nothing short of remarkable. You have to wonder what in the dickens they are capable of, once they play together for 4 or 5 games. Had we come up with that assembly of players and performance in the 1st game of the year, we would be calling for a ‘Natty in year one’.
  23. Some math genius, earlier, stated 54% completion for Sanders in the game, 37/48 is 80% in my day (can't speak for the 'new math', however)
