  1. When Scott was at Oregon they were 62-2 when scoring 31 or more points. Which is where his comment stems from.
  2. Have we watched the same season? That aside, did you not watch us hammer them with basically one core play and an RPO constraint? It reminded me of how Oregon use to basically tell the other teams what they were going to run presnap and still run for a million yards.
  3. FACT: Teams will have more possessions given the way we play offense FACT: Teams will have more opportunities to score given they’ll have more possessions Points per possession is the metric id use.

  5. You might find comfort in the fact that that we converted 3rd and 7 plus 3 times before the 4th quarter on what one would call slot slant RPOs. Scheme-wise, Jim Leonard doesn’t have a shot moving forward. Scott absolutely hammered him and he simply had zero chance. For long stretches of this game he had zero idea how to even go about stopping us. We ran for more yards on them than Ohio State did for Lord sake.
  6. What are you even talking about? This is nonsense
  7. So you’re of the opinion they aren’t coached to wrap up and tackle? Keep in mind, if you can see it *whispers behind hand* the coaches can see it too. It’s absolutely ridiculous to believe you can see something so basic that the coaches can’t. “Setting the edge” Not sure what this means, but it’s fun to listen to someone talk about it and believe (s)he knows football. I’m not recalling a game where our outside contain got hammered all game long. Could you point to instances this weekend or in previous weeks where we got hammered on the outside? Who is responsible for “the edge?” What I see is a group of linebackers who simply have zero clue what their fit is from snap to snap. We don’t have the people to run it at all. That we agree on. Where we disagree is that we should be running something different than what we want to run long term. Overall, I’m not really sure there’s much in your post.
  8. Yes. He committed on his visit. Any day now we’ll hear.
  9. Big time player. Outside linebacker in the same class as Nelson
  10. What a saga that was and what a heartbreaker. I mean... of course if I were there I probably would know a bit more.
  11. Not disagreeing, all I’m saying is given the talent that was available and the performance one can’t be anything but impressed with how they played. I’d go as far to say that with Wandale we win the game.
  12. We converted 4 times on 3rd and 7 plus on outside zone reads against the 5th best rushing/3rd down efficiency defense in the nation. We had inferior talent in this one compared to them at basically every spot but QB and one WR spot. It’s clear where the offense is going and it won’t be stopped by a regional power that’s failed on the national stage like Wisconsin.
