Best case? 9-3. Yes it could be done. If Frost cleans up his coaching and we see the same effort from Nebraska we saw against Wisconsin, Maryland, and Iowa, yeah, they could do that. Worst case is 3-9. Any worse than that and it’s a new HC come 2021. and frankly I’d lean to the actual result being closer to worst case than best case. 5-7. And please no one argue to me that Frost would get a pass year 3 with a 2-10 or worse record.

Considering how many kicks in the balls the fanbase has endured since 2001, can’t be shocked people are a bit dismal on our prospects against a brutal schedule.

Being shown correct in my predictions of failure is the only joy Nebraska men’s athletics provides me anymore.

This is a schedule where 5-7 would be understandable, unlike this year’s

Spielman either would go to the draft or stay. He gains nothing from transferring at this point.

Uh losing to two terrible teams to open the season leaves me feeling uncertain.

My point is simply that in recent history in college football, coaches either put up or shut up by year 3.

At this point, I don’t see what’s proving him wrong.

I can’t believe I’m saying this because I’m emphatically someone who thinks we need to break away from the past to improve, but I honestly thought our use of the option this year was great, and would like to see it more.

Here’s the thing: I want Frost to make me eat crow. Just heaping piles of crow. I want him to make me die from eating too much crow. I am simply skeptical at this point.

Oh I don’t see that. That’s why I’m on the “Doubt Frost is the Answer” ship. My point is that your prognostication = fire him.

If that’s the case then we really need to start looking for a new HC. This is absurd. I understand giving a guy time but 5 years of absolute mediocrity is not acceptable.
