Exactly. What we would all give to have that game back. If we are 3-1 and went toe to toe with OU we’d feel pretty damn good about this team… Its also unfortunate we have the hardest schedule in the country the rest of the season. It’s going to be a long year.

I admittedly don't usually watch the game in close enough detail so I have a hard time telling who's fault it is when we are struggling on the line. It seems to me that we are having more issues with guys knowing who to pick up on blitzes or switching properly when guys stunt etc. Or are guys just flat out getting beat?

Wow that is awesome, he sure looks the part and Benhart would be a behemoth inside. This is such a promising group of young lineman if we can develop them.

I have really only started following the VB team closely in the last 5 years. Coach Cook is so smart and I think you nailed it. He's getting the young players ready for when it really matters down the stretch. We always seem to hit our stride late in the season at just the right time and I doubt this one will be different. Also I haven't had the time to watch hardly any of the VB team yet this year but in my opinion we have been lacking a true stud outside hitter since Mikaela Foecke and that has been the difference between us being a really good team and a National Championship caliber team the last couple years.

Nate Boerkircher. That was a scary play. He seemed to bounce up fine but I bet his neck was stiff in the morning..

Me too I think we will try our best to slow the game down and not get in a shootout.

Frost called a really good game offensively in my opinion. However there is one thing we’ve done multiple times already this season that frustrates the hell out of me. When we are in the 35-40 yard line area and we have 3rd and have roughly a 3rd and 7 or less. I’d much rather see us run and if you get 3-4 yards or more you go for it on 4th. Instead we throw, don’t get any yards and end up feeing like we have to punt it. Then we send one through the end zone for a 20 yard net gain. Might be a bit of playing it safe in a game like this I suppose, so hopefully we see us approach this different in bigger games.

We can play well in an alternate uniform!

I’m starting to think this defensive unit might be the best we’ve had in quite a few years. I think they’ve been under rated due to constantly being put in tough positions by a lackluster offense and awful special teams. I really think this unit is good enough to keep us in most of the games the rest of the way if the offense doesn’t let them down. I’m still having a hard time forgiving this team for the Illinois game and I think a lot of you are too. This was a good win and I think we’d all be much happier about it if we were 3-0. I really like the talent we have at the skill positions and I think our overall depth is the best it’s been in a while. It wouldn’t surprise me if this group came together and had a good season still. It also wouldn’t surprise me if we got curb stomped by Oklahoma and we completely went off the rails. We’ll know a lot more next week, GBR!
