  1. That was in response to this "We are razor thin at the front 7 on D. If we don't bring in a few guys we're at the point of not having enough numbers to get through spring practice if there are a few injuries." 3-4 guys for DL is not enough in any world and IIRC Van Poppell and Carroll-Jackson won't be here in the spring. I also though Buckley entered the portal so that was my mistake. I don't know how throwing in three walk-on QB's is misleading because I also included walk-ons on the DL as well, but there are hardly any. We literally have more QB's on the roster than DL currently, it's not hyperbole. Even with the additions for spring, we will still won't have more than DL than QB's. (For the record, I am saying as things sit currently, I obviously hope/expect it to change.)
  2. It is? By my count we are currently at 8 and 4. IF you want to Include EDGE, that would put as at 8 and 7, currently. QB- Cooper Hausmann, Chubba Purdy, Mikey Pauley, Logan Smothers, Jarrett Synek, Heinrich Haarberg, Richard Torres, Casey Thompson. DL- Nash Hutmacher, Jacob Herbek, Stephon Wynn Jr., Ty Robinson Edge- Braden Clover, Blaise Gunnerson, Jimari Butler.
  3. At LB we at least have some young guys that need to step up. DL we literally have nobody, not even walk-ons. We have more QB's than DL on the roster currently.
  4. Soooo about that family package deal...
  5. Ouch. I wasn't as surprised by Garrett but I actually thought Feist would play another year. Gonna need some bodies on the DL or it's going to be a long season.
  6. Glad to see we seem to have gotten rid of the height requirement for offensive and defensive lineman.
  7. Guesses for possibilities.. QB-Anybody other than Sims. Also not Haarberg as I think he will at least give it a shot with the new staff or possibly change positions. RB- Allen (hope not), Rahmir, Gabe Ervin Jr. Latgely depends on if Allen stays and how the depth chart shakes out. WR- Hardy III, Bonner (hood shot at playing time though), Hill. TE- Hickman, Androff, Tagaloa OL- Anthony DL-Buckley LB-Malcom CB- Lynum, Johnson, Clark S- Pola-Gates, Williams
  8. One of the On3 guys (can’t remember which one) said they were fairly certain he wasn’t actually on the team all year. Also last summer we were actually at 86 scholarships and Frost said something to the effect of “don’t worry about it”. So it would make sense that he’s actually been gone for a while. I believe he may have “medically retired”, basically stays on scholarship until he graduates just not on the team. Probably not looking to transfer anywhere.
  9. On another note they actually have another brother who is a 6'6 275lb defensive end who is in the transfer portal. Maybe we can just get the whole family but man how would you keep them all straight. Prince, Princely, Princewill, and they have another younger brother Princeton as well.. https://tarletonsports.com/sports/football/roster/prince-umanmielen/10169
  10. Princewell Umanmielen's brother, Princely Unanmielen was a starter at defensive end for Florida. He hasn't entered the portal yet however when I looked up his roster profile his number sounded familiar then I remember this clip.... Seems like a guy who might not be happy where he's at but.....
  11. This is a great get for by Coach Cook.. That being said, I think this will be followed up with some bad news.
  12. Struggled a bit at tackle but was better at Center. At least he is a starter which is an improvement over the last P5 lineman we brought in.
  13. Top TE in Texas. Although I'm not sure if his team just doesn't throw the ball but his stats are rather....Unimpressive
  14. Never doubted it. Should be an instant upgrade at one spot. Lesssssgoooo!!
  15. N. Just my opinion that the national recruiting guys just assume that he was trending to Auburn because he took a visit and they view it as a better spot. They don’t know that he always wanted to be a Husker.
  16. Read on another site there is a possibility we may have one spot opening up. Big OH, did not say the name.
  17. They're going all in on tampering with proven players from other teams!
  18. N. Somebody made an oopsie and accidentally already listed him on the huskers.com website on the football roster but it was promptly taken down as it was obviously suppose to be a secret until his announcement.
  19. I've thought for a while his situation is odd. It's almost like we half-heartedly tried to keep him. Like he has a spot but like you said I don't think they went down to see him. I know for sure Rhule never made it down there but yet it seems like we still want him?
  20. He's a high school recruit. I was referring to their guys that entered the transfer portal, mainly Ja'Had Carter and Darian Chestnut.
  21. Was hoping we'd be in on a couple of the Syracuse defensive guys but haven't heard anything there.
  22. While you might say this is looking at the glass half full I could agree with you on the o-line. If you get at least one solid transfer, Nouilli back, and Teddy fully healthy, it's possible that we could potentially see improvement at 3 out of the 5 spots right off the bat.
  23. Not going to lie I was not super excited about bringing in Hornsby other than just for specialty packages. So to me this confirms that if Hornsby is N, it will either be for just that or to play another position.
  24. Yea I agree it seems late to be making that move. But with the new world of NIL it’s kind of like entering the draft when you’re the #1 pick I suppose. He’s possibly looking at a seven figure NIL deal. He has little to nothing to gain by going to high school another year with the risk having a down season or worse an injury.
