  1. I had to buy Paramount + for that? Hey Trev! I take pretty much all forms of payment for refund!!! Sorry for all you poor souls who sat through that outside. Duped is a word that comes to mind.
  2. A lot of people talk smack about Bo Pelini. But if you go into one of the most important treatment centers in Lincoln for deeply troubled youth you will see Bo Pelini's name on the wall as a donor toward that facility. Did not see any of the other "nicer"coach's names there.
  3. Have to be suspicious of anything Youtube/google tho.
  4. Too much money in college football and it is ruined. I just watch and do other things now. When enough devices tune out things will change
  5. Well you got the part about not hiring a black HC right. University founded in like 1890. Hundreds of head coaches in all sports. Zero black head coaches
  6. It is not that I get tired of being right or being able to see the obvious. It is just that there are so many damn koolaid drinking people with real short memories. Collin calls them mouth breathers. So, how do you like your crow? Breasted and fried with some Lawry's and Lemon pepper? Maybe it bears repeating. There is a way to win in Lincoln and it will work in the Big 18 conference. But you have to follow the formula that was laid out by Bob Devaney and TO. You have to have the right coach, not just any big name available on the market. Nebraska can supply the big strong boys that you can turn into bigger, stronger men. But you have to go out and get the speed. SUB 4.4 guys you can coach into blanket corners and lightning fast slot receiver/ flankers. You have to go get the 4.6 6'2" 200 lb kids and turn them into 4.4 230 lb outside linebackers so you can handle the Michigans, Wisconsins, and the Ohio States. And you need them four deep. Hire a random big name, with some random coordinator friends from South Carolina, keep a line coach on staff because of who his nephew is, and then go out to the broader market and recruit for the same QBs and WRs that Alabama and Georgia are after, and see what happens. Not going to work in Lincoln NE.
  7. University of Nebraska Lincoln, Founded 1869. 153 years. 1,307 Total Varsity Teams Fielded 0 Black Head Coaches In Any Sport
  8. This is a f#&%up hire. A mistake by Trev or whoever is calling the shots (7.5 mill check writer.) Nebraska is not Texas. This is not the Big 12. Rhule will ulimately get to 7 ish wins at NU, be fired, and someone will write another 7.5 mill check. It is getting ridiculous. If Mickey is not assistant head coach, and lead recruiter I am out. Way to go NU, you had a Black HC for as long as you could stand it I guess.
  9. Its his job to lose HC > Receivers Coach
  10. I was mildly shocked to learn that Mickey was the first Black head coach at NU in any sport. Now we are in a rush to replace him. I dont get it. In a big hurry to spend a wad of cash. And demote Mickey. "Keep bringing in the recruits Mickey, and here is your demotion, because you understand, we just need a certain kind of guy. " When you consider that Mickey is actually teaching the right things, this rush to replace him is stupidity on a whole different level, and NU gets what it deserves. NU needs Mickey, and the culture he is trying to build, and the recruits he can bring in, and the cash he is not asking for.
  11. Time to quit making the same old mistakes, hiring these guys and paying too much. Nebraska's best option is to stick with Mickey. He is doing the right things. He can go into living rooms and pull the recruits better than any HC here in 20 years. He actually cares. If you dont believe me, go ahead and hire another expensive random white dude and see how many 4 - Five star Omaha and SEC dudes he gets to Lincoln NE. Let me know how that goes for ya. There are 3 guys who could turn this around. Saban, Urban, and Mickey. 2 of them are going to pull the dudes because of who they are, and those 2 ain't coming. The other one gives Nebraska a fresh new face in todays world, a genuine ability to recruit, and coach the right things. But anybody will come here and take your money.
  12. If the next game does sell out, it will have to be the biggest crowd ever to watch a mid tier (NOT top tier) FCS team in history
  13. Jimbo got beat by the Fun belt and Urban got beat by a cell pic
  14. Iowa is not our rival. You only have one maybe two rivals. For example Michigan has Ohio St, Michigan St. Iowa to us right now is a project like a broke down motor. You kick its a$$, make it do what you want, then move on with life. You dont hate it. You just take care of it.
  15. Coaches are important but we need to get some horses in here on the OL and DL. It is amazing how good a coach looks when youve got 5 or 6 Shields, Suhs, Paces, Sapps hanging around. We have 2 awesome backs now, need to protect them.
  16. I'd go after Eric Bieniemy. And I would tell him to go do to everyone else what he used to do to us.
  17. New position: UNL Athletic Department Director of Inconsistency. Ensuring Inconsistency, on a consistent level. 85% of the time, it works every time.
  18. Scott Frost: The Big 10 is going to have to adjust to us." Jeff Brohm: Great, what is on the afternoon agenda then?
  19. It is definitely not fine, it is just that there are now umpteen bajillion millenials who never saw how good it used to be, and don't know the difference.
  20. 1. Too much money in it 2. Too many commercials. 3. Too many attorneys. 4. Too many replays 5. Taking tv timeouts during targeting replays to determine if a kid should be kicked out. 6. Poorest officiating ever. (dependent on replay booth officials) 7. Cant hit anyone. 8. Penalty on every punt return. 9. Full grown men who don't know what a catch is. 10. Too many rules. Why can teams call timeouts before a play srarts or just to ice a kicker? In basketball can a coach call a timeout right before a shooter releases a free throw? Why do quarterbacks get to slide? Why are there times a team can't advance a fumble? Which communist invented "targeting?" How come if a receiver crosses the plane of the goal with a freshly caught ball they have to survive contact with the ground, but a running back can cross the plane, fall down and fumble, but it still is a touchdown?
