  1. i am not sure what Mario is doing to make Adrian use good throwing mechanics, must be taking long naps.

there was no night/day difference.  same fumbles, s#!t throws and poor reads.

tell me Frost didn't see this crap in practices??

time to cut his playing time and develop someone for next season.

    we are wasting  our time.

Absolutely nothing.  He brought the clown staff with him.  Hasn't adjusted or improved.  We are a bottom feeder of the B1G. Unsure if there is a worse team.  Before anyone mentions Rutgers, with Shiano there, I'd take them over us.....

today was a carbon copy of last season, no difference.  doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result.

and Verduzco needs to throw away the rose colored glasses! he is a big part of our problem at QB

Adrian is well on his way to going down as the worst multi-year starting QB in program history.

    without a doubt.

I'm going to the game in Champaign-Urbana and really considering bringing along a mask. I am vaccinated but I have a pregnant wife who is vaccinated and a 9 year old. So I'll probably be masked up.

you are smart, but wearing the mask will get old, just sayin.

  6. i just don't think running designed QB runs for primary rushing yards is smart. especially when you only have 1 QB with experience.

as a former QB, Frost should understand this.

There is talk someone in that room had some apprendix issues. Hickman and Carnie do not have the size to be a factor in the BIG as blockers. An area of strength and depth supposedly- with Fidone out too- has turned into an area of weakness. This team seems to be snake bit a bunch.

love Frost speak?  what the hell is being nicked up?

always a secret with Frost, could be out a day or 3 months, he defines himself, good enough for the fans.

So, don't have him carry the ball then or just run him less?

Adrian had 96 yards rushing on 15 carries and averaged 6.4 YPC. Mills had 50 yards rushing on 12 carries for an average of 4.1 YPC.

Those are just stats; interpret them how you will.

not healthy for a QB to run it 15 times per game.

But you criticized McCaffrey and saying he's not a good qb, so then it's Mario's fault when he leaves screaming development? Which is it? Is he a good qb and we suck at qb coaching or is he better suited for a different position and you aren't a good qb coach?

more inclined to say Mario baled on the kid, Frost and Mario are wed to AM, what else can you say?

they have always had an excuse for his poor performance. time is up IMO.

4 turnovers in the Rutgers game at the end of the season is inexcusable, especially the 2 fumbles.

Ozigbo had 90 yards on 29 carries the 3 games before he became a starter. Bell had 33 for 171 in those 3 games. I'm not really sure this example proves your point.

many were already marking down Stepp as the number one back, before he even got here.  competition has been tough, Ervin snd Morrison are coming on.

Yant will also be a 4th quarter closer, in all likelihood.

We have a lot of good picks at RB, but if their first choice isn't working out on game day, I'll be pissed if we stick with them for half the season like we did Mo. Washington over Ozigbo.

Yant will play some, Johnson and Scott will see a lot more bench time. Stepp not ready for a lot of carries, i suspect.

    And the day before that...

Hunter and 55, we get it.  You hate everything QB related with the Huskers and nothing all the rational people say will change your mind.

there is no hate for the QB's at NU. just disappointment, especially in AM' development.

i just don't believe Mario has been an affective coach. AM can't make reads, fumbles way too much and McCaffrey walks. Where is the development?

Somebody earlier in this thread said "how do you reconcile the Rutgers game of 2020," referring to Martinez's four turnovers.

I mean...we won that game? So I guess the way I reconcile it was he, the offensive line, and Mills overcame the turnovers and wound up winning anyway.

We can cherry pick games to fit an argument all day of course, but I look more at games like Minnesota last year. Martinez had 96 yards rushing, threw for a 59% completion, and had one fumble. Our other three RBs had a combined 101 yards rushing. Something's kind of wrong with that.

McNuggets comes in for one series and throws an interception. When Minnesota was driving late in the 2nd quarter I believe we had a dumb penalty on defense that gave them a first down. We also missed a 30 yard field goal.

Martinez needs to cut down on the turnovers. But I'm addressing the posts that seem to indicate that Martinez's play is the thing that's holding us back from going 8-4 or something. I just really disagree with that sentiment.

Mills was all we had. but that's still not a good excuse to running fumblelina.

Don't you dare criticize St Mario- the patron saint of all Hobbits and poorly performing coaches. The lack of development with Gebbia, Martinez, McCaffrey and Smothers have NOTHING to do with him. Don't you know St Mario listens to opera, smokes cigars, drinks great scotch with no ice and has really cool glasses? He's obviously a QB whispering savant guru and anyone who criticizes him knows nothing about football.

so true, but he did a great job with Skywalker!

Unfortunately- like last season Adrian is still our best choice to win games. Luke and Smothers are the same non QB guy with different names and Haarberg is a C1 project, not anywhere close to being ready to play in the BIG

That is an indictment on our coaches ability to evaluate and choose legitimate QBs and of course the coaching staffs lack in ability in developing said QBs.

The cherry on top is never bothering to pick up or even seriously consider QBs in the transfer portal who have gone on to great things because "they aint better than what we got"

i agree, we have done a piss poor job at recruiting and developing QB's under Frost.

Mario is not producing on his end.
