  1. Markese Stepp and Toure. Would be nice additions.
  2. There is a reason the staff is recruiting bigger body WR's the last class and the current class and not out there trying to find the next 5'8'' 175 pound WR.
  3. Simon Toure. Those Nebraska media follows might show good news for Nebraska. Cross the fingers!!! NFL talent at WR is what you would get from him.
  4. Callahan posted a portal addition coming Monday......could be good news.
  5. Those Oregon players were not Wandale. those guys were fast as hell. One step and go. Wandale is a guy that needs space to be shiffty.
  6. You just want to make it seem worse than it actually is. Like I have said, Frost's best offenses, even at Oregon, didn't have a Wandale. I don't even want to see a Wandale in this program again. Give me the bigger body WR's that can win battles for a vertical passing game. We can easily motion out RB's for quick pass and catch plays that Wandale did all of the time.
  7. Nebraska will win more games next year since the offense would no longer be featured by one player. Will be forced to use all skill talent. There is talent to run the offense even without Wandale. People are acting like Wandale was a Jerry Rice or Michael Irvin. Far from it.
  8. Brown, Betts, Martin, Nixon, they are all faster than Wandale. Wandale is shiffty guy in space, but you don't see him taking it to the house for a reason - lacks top end speed. Rahmir is faster too.
  9. Lacks top end speed, small catch radius, gets armed tackled all of the time when running between the tackles, and only averaged 9 yards a catch last season. He is replaceable a lot easier then some people are making this out to be. In the Big Ten, small WR's tend to have a limited impact. The Betts of the world is what you want across the file at WR. Those are the guys that will get wins in the Big Ten, not 4 Wandales out on the field at the same time. It hasn't mattered if Wandale has gotten 6 catches or 9 catches in a game, there have been wins and loses with both cathing stats. Getting the ball spread vertically with bigger bodied WR's is what the offense needs. TE production was good last season and will only get better. Double TE's, with Betts, Brown, and Martin = more successful offense. Frost's better offenses as a head coach have never had a Wandale at WR.
  10. Good talent, but not a gamechanger. Give me a good OL and I will give you 4 Wandales. Give me a bad OL and you may not find a Wandale. There are some posters on 247Nebraska's forum, like Klien, that want to blame everything on the coaches and it's never a players fault. Wandale was being showcased. If he leaves it will not be because of playing time or getting more touches.
  11. Also, WI has a SR RB coming back for another season so I bet they will not take a RB transfer. Could be Nebraska's gain. Then get a good WR transer like the one from Montana.
  12. One can have desire for a school, but you still have to get admitted. Not saying he couldn't get into WI, just that people tend to jump the gun on where kids will end up for transfers.
  13. Markese Stepp. Visiting campus.
  14. People were blasting the defense while some were saying they were getting better. Why? Because they were getting better. It took 3 seasons for more people to realize it. Now NFL level talent is RETURNING to play on D. We just need the offense to come together and winning seasons will be had. Wandale was never the difference between a losing record and a winning record and even without him next season he was never going to be the reason we would go to abowl game. The reason we would go to a bowl game will be the LOS and always will be.
  15. Nixon will take over next season.
  16. Some act like a skill player at WR will make the difference between 3 wins or 4 wins. No. Better OL play is where you can go from 3 to 8 wins type of improvement. It's always been about the LOS and always will be.
  17. https://gogriz.com/sports/football/roster/samori-toure/5918 Started to follow Nebraska media on Twitter now. Would just be a one season come and go player, but the kid has talent.
  18. No major disagreement, but there are regional differences. Nebraska won with meat, potatoes, corn fed players, not green diet types living on a beach. Sure there is athletic kids in Florida, and a lot of them in south Florida, but it's not a place where you will find many kids with the right type of mental makeup to fit in ,in today's world. Those kids are not likely even watching any Nebraska game and going here because it is there best option will lead them going into the portal and going to some lower level school.
  19. Now the #1 jersey offered to the Hawaii WR that Nebraska might land in Feb. signing day makes more sense. I do think it would be pretty dumb to go to Kentucky from a football perspective. The offense needs to thrive in all phases, not feature Wandale, IMO. Could be a blessing, IMO.
  20. There's a handful of posters that think the world is ending on a daily basis on that Nebraska247 forum. Some could use therapy.
  21. If Luke wants to be a starting QB, it isn't happening here. He will probably be 3rd string next season. What he should do is go to the coaches and asked to be moved to WR.
  22. Wandale going to me gets a whatever reaction since he would go to Kentucky and their offense is terrible. He would end up regretting it. For myself personally, I've posted before I expect him to go after next season anyways so if Wandale does leave, then it will force Frost to actually use all of his skill talent insted of featuring Wandale, making it easy for defenses to gameplan.
  23. Stability and recruiting kids with the right mental makeup will solve this. The wrong thing to do, as we found out, is to push hard for several kids in FL and similar type of places since a lot of those kids go with no real big burning desire to build and work and wait for there time at a place like Nebraska. Gotta get more of the better kids in places like Hawaii, New Jersey, and 500 Mile Radius. I'd go down to Oklahoma and Texas harder too. I know kids down there are going to hard to get that have the choice of going To Oklahoma, A&M and Texas, but there is enough talent down there to pull away a good player or two every year. For far away states, Georgia is where we should go a bit harder in. Pull back from South Florida a bit and go a bit harder in Georgia.
  24. No surprise there. There have been OL guys in that same class that already broke the two deep plus and he hasn't. Wasn't going to make an impact then. Doubt he could put on the weight too. The best of luck to him.
  25. How would I know. I only stated what I stated because it's all that is known for myself.
