  1. Well, Rhule was deemed #27 Power Ranking by the CBS experts... https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/2023-college-football-coach-rankings-mel-tucker-sam-pittman-plummet-among-power-five-coaches-ranked-69-26/ (top 25): https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/ranking-the-top-25-power-five-college-football-coaches-entering-the-2023-season/
  2. Well now: https://huskercorner.com/2023/05/09/bill-busch-nebraska-football-wins/
  3. I was gonna say. .. 30?
  4. It looks like we're running out of quarterbacks.
  5. Yeah. Well... some action there.. I didn't see a Husker team as we once knew Husker teams. I think this coach has a huge job, even more so than a few previous ones; Our Hero From The Past left quantum disarray as the norm. That is difficult to coach out of an athlete who has accepted it, and too many of those players are still right there in that headspace. Transfer portal, in and out, could help if the new staff is trying to do that (I think they are, going by words and some actions). I felt pretty bad through most of that Spring Game, but was glad to be there. My expectations were unreal. Year 2? Uh.. well.. 4 wins this year (maybe) and the same or 1 better for a few years. Expectations deflated after watching that scrimmage. I did love seeing Coach Frank getting repeated compliments and accolades he has deserved and were overdue; that made the day.
  6. Every locker. Every toilet stall. The mops!
  7. Perhaps he'll be vilified for the rest of his life, with no chance at all of getting his career back on track. Perhaps he's demonic, unlike the angelic snots here at Husker Board.
  8. Well, perhaps now his chances of getting hired somewhere are.. a bit better. And perhaps scrutiny of him will be about his coaching prowess (or lack thereof) rather than domestic issues.
  9. You seem to express judgement. Whether you "carry judgement" is something that only you can know of yourself, although that realization does evade most judgemental people we notice on both extreme ends of political and social issues. Honestly, Christianity at its best does not do that. But we see Christianity at its worst more and more these days (off and on throughout history). We see them with their "God hates f*gs" signs and their "MURDERER!" shouts (often groups in unison) at women (and their doctors) who want to be in control of the contents of their own body.
  10. Embedded in just about every post you make on this there seems to be a judgemental factor, one that seems to seek to elevate you and diminish those who don't adhere to your adopted Christian precepts. I am not religious, but I get the feeling, as I listen to or read these things, that Mathew 7:1 may be lost on you.
  11. Yeah. The curse is unraveling. Stuff like that.
  12. I'm worried about this NIL thing wrecking school loyalty (not much left of that anyway, over time), along with the ease of use of the transfer portal. Some kids are taking off to other schools because they are 2nd string, etc. That is making it harder for fans to have confidence in the team.
  13. Funny stuff. But, a-HEM.. the Husker Hot Take That Everybody Will Click The Laughy Emoji Thingy And Quote You To Make Fun Of You subject: This season he'll uncork 7 wins (maybe just 6) and struggle later on with the "Dig Me/Pay Me Because I'm Great Plus Handsome And Stuff" and the transfer drain pipe. The hope is some sort of Husker Loyalty will at some point overcome that.. that's my hope anyway.
  14. Well, not a black eye on our program for very long, or as perceived by very many people out there, except perhaps for Buffs and Mizzou fans who sported "get out of jail free" card posters at their home games against us for a few seasons. I mean, Lawrence Philips was the peak of all that, I think.. not sure but it seems that way. Dr. Tom didn't go all wordy on explaining himself because he didn't have to; we know him, and the media was what the media is so it was out there, even with a TV special about that particular case. I think we Husker fans felt the black eye more than anyone else.
  15. That'd be so amazing. We handed Creighton their 3rd loss in a row after they got beat by Texas and Arizona, but it's still a freaky great win for us for a lot of reasons. Road win at Indiana would lead up to a monster night at home against ranked Purdue!
  16. The Leader of The Trumpanzees, Trump himself, has gone full on Great Dictator mode: https://www.jpost.com/american-politics/article-724014 For those anti-smites among us around here, here's a milder link for you: https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/03/politics/trump-constitution-truth-social/index.html
  17. Yeah right, she's leaving for "work."
  18. There’s a lot more to it than that. I’m sure you read the entire article so you know what I mean.
  19. Maybe he's going to do something like this: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/35131091/inside-one-year-makeover-lincoln-riley-usc
  20. He turned his back on his responsibilities as a representative of Nebraska, the university and the state. Something is understandable about it, about that passion of anger when being betrayed by a loved one. But there are millions of people who go through those things and do not lift a finger of harm at their betrayer. They sadden and madden and seethe and whatever, but they do not attempt to harm or kill that person, They get help for themselves and they take steps in the right direction.
  21. It was Steve Taylor. Mickey's friend.
  22. Well, an assault becomes self-defense only when there's a perceived threat proven, I think. If you're angry because of something going on with your spouse and you attack her, or the other party, the questions in court will have a lot to do with why you attacked her or the other party.
