  1. Granted Northwestern was BAD, but Yant looked better than any of our other backs and it's not even close. Why only 4 carries Saturday night? Johnson seems to me, a back who can catch a pass out of the backfield once in awhile or you utilize his speed for trick/gimmick plays. If you want to pound the rock against teams line up Yant and give him the carries. Eventually Yant will wear teams down and move the chains. Johnson is not that back and never will be given his size.
  2. What did we learn? We learned that Frost deserved to loose those early games due to keeping a player like Yant on the bench. Who cares if he ate a few too many brownies...Let the man run.
  3. Ramir Johnson? Why him? He seems undersized for a Big 10 back. From what he has shown us he doesn't really have a feel for the game. He does have speed and could be utilized in certain situations, but in no way, shape or form is he going to be an every down back that will win us games. Morrison looked pretty good in limited situations and where is Yant? (he looked the most impressive in the spring game) Besides OL play and special teams, the use of players and their playing time is baffling
  4. A QB either has "IT" or he doesn't. AM is bad. A good QB would go a long way in covering up the coaching deficiencies. Afraid Frost is going to ride Martinez right out of town
  5. Figuring out an offensive identity under Frost is probably futile conversation. It all depends on the O-line and the progress they have made. They have to be able to compete against D-lines in the Big 10. For the love of gravy, don't open the season with a backward screen pass. Hopefully our genius QB whisperer can teach AD how to look off db's!!! Clean up the sloppy penalties and we can complete with most teams on our schedule.
