  1. For the second straight season, Nebraska will not offer their radio broadcasts on SiriusXM. Sure, you'll still be able to hear Nebraska games with a SiriusXM subscription, but it'll be the opposing teams broadcast, which doesn't bother me and shouldn't bother you either. Only reason that Nebraska left Learfield and took the radio network in house was because they wanted fans to have easier access to the radio broadcasts. EVERY school offers their radio broadcasts for free, but think about the people in cars and trucks who rely on SiriusXM to hear college.sports broadcasts. Also, when I asked Coody why Nebraska wouldn't put the games on SiriusXM, crickets. BYU took their network back in house a few seasons ago and have all their football and men's basketball games on SiriusXM. Notre Dame's radio network is also in house and gets all their broadcasts on SiriusXM as well! Nebraska took their network in house and in the process, yanked their broadcasts on SiriusXM (they are the ONLY P5 team that won't have their games on SiriusXM) Very disappointed in the University for denying fans (both die hard and netural) the opportunity to listen to a Husker Sports Network broadcast via SiriusXM.
  2. So I was browsing through Reddit and noticed that the Huskers, a school with a rich storied history and also provides wholesome family entertainment... booked a RAP artist called EST Gee (no, I am not making this up) for the opening men's basketball game on November 7th against Maine. Firstly, rap music is unacceptable. It contains cuss words and language that is unacceptable in today's society. Second, what happened to the days when schools would book country, jazz and classical musicians, or even better, cheerleaders, marching bands and mascot stunts as entertainment? Allowing a rap artist to come and perform his profane-laced, toxic music is unacceptable. The youth of today should be listening to country, classical and jazz music, not rap music. The University knows better, if they were smart, they'd tell this rapper to take his act elsewhere!
