My guess is that we land McCord at say 1.6M and have enough NIL for someone like Leavitt at maybe 400k for longer term QB value. (McCord would also include Flemming ideally)

My thought (hope) is that we add 5 total portal transfers and a top RB is one of them. (2 QBs, 1 WR, 1 RB, then maybe LB or Edge)

What are the players that cannot wear single digits going to do? Helmet decal? Jersey patch? Then does the single digit get taken or is it passed along to someone else?

Interesting specifically about if the Newsome news is real. Just last week Cooper said this… “Quinton has been great for me. He does what we ask of him. He’s embraced the transition and sticks by me. He’s my messenger. I expect him to have a great season,” Cooper said. “Typically, we just try to go day to day. But if we want to forecast a little bit, I think he should have his best season as a Husker.” Farmer and Sanford I agree with the consensus that they are replaceable and mainly just depth at this point.

Definitely knows what he’s doing. I hope he was already working with the TEs and knows them all. He’s got more TE experience than Wager… There has to be a reason that Josh Martin specifically was hired on as an Analyst. Leads me to believe Rhule had this in place as a backup just in case he needed to step in.

Most seem plausible as single digit guys… but haven’t heard really anything all off season about Witucki.

This is probably a dumb question but how do companies or NIL collectives expect to profit from these NIL deals? Like if you give a QB a few million dollars how will they make a profit on top of all that money?

If we are quoting movies why not try “The Blind Side”… kid was clearly talented and in a bad situation. With the right help, teachers, and overall support system around him he was able to succeed and become eligible to showcase his talents on the field.

Agreed. Love that Josh Fleeks is all N and is going to share with the team his experience, reassurance, and success under Rhule’s way to play, act, and win. All you need is one spark to get a few others really bought in and then you have everyone believing.

Same. Born/raised in Omaha and never heard of Chili and Cinnamon. I won’t knock it until I try it. I can see it being similar to sweet corn bread with honey alongside chili.

I am offended by that. Is it not too much to ask to expect a top caliber coach at every position to leave successful programs to make a lateral move to Nebraska.
