  1. He's from Cali. Huh? That's not how we dress. Maybe if he was wearing board shorts and Rainbow flip-flops..... true.
  2. On the other hand, it means he isn’t 100% sold on coming here. The longer this drags out, the more it favors the home town team imo.
  3. TG said the other day on 1620 that how are offense was performing "ya know didnt effect his decision as one might think ya know." So what happened with him is up for interpretation to be honest. Curtis Carter hasnt committed anywhere that I know of. If he wants to be close to home I would expect him to go to TCU as Fort Worth is only about 2.5-3 hrs from where he lives. I wish that the kid would go to MU after the comments he made. My boy Eric Martin would have fun with him. How we're performing no, our offensive scheme yes. Being a small slot receiver in our offense is like relegating yourself to the bench for most of the game. Since we don't have a player with the skill set of CC, is it really fair to judge how he might be used?
  4. We haven't seen Rome bashing other programs and their fans either.
  5. I bet not. I don't think his anger is just about Watson or the offense he is running. After this, i'd say he is gone. I thought Curtis' dad was a big fan of Bo. Is that true or am i mistaken?
  6. Sounds like he committed to A&M.
  7. I guess while on his visit to MU, he was talking on Weatherspoon's webam and talking on myspace (or some social networking site like that). Spent a good amoutn of time saying NU sucks, all we do is run, he hates our offense, Aaron Green won't be signing with us, all of our recruits are going to decommit... because we suck. I get the feeling our coaches did something that really pissed him off.
  8. read that post again... he was talking about a video game. so was i... it was a joke.
  9. A shame, but best of luck to him. I'm surprised he went to OSU instead of Oregon.
  10. Additionally, i don't know that anyone is attacking Tyler's ability so much as they are the way he's handled himself during his recruitment. I wasn't real high on him personally, but he was good enough for Watson and that was good enough for me. However, continually waffling on his decision throughout the fall, complaining about the offense and wether or not it's good enough for him, and then decommitting at the 11th is not very admirable. I have no issues with Tyler the player, but i am disappointed the way he's handled his committment. His character has left a lot to be desired imo.
  11. What respect or credit do you think you deserve? NU fans are constantly on Tigerboard flaming and everything else every chance they get. There are a few that are tolerable but for the most part the just want to jab. NU beat MU on the field fair and square this year and all the sudden that is license for Cornhuskers to lay out all the smack they want? Where was the respect and credit of the past two years when MU laid it to the Huskers? It works both ways. As for MU fan's opinion of Bo ... why do you care what they think? Does it offend you personally? Bo can handle himself. I think a more fair question is why did this board talk up Tyler so highly since page one of this recruiting profile, and then when the slightest hint comes along that he no longer wants to play for NU, he is (insert any insult you'd like here), and the kid sucks. I mean really, for a fan base that always talks about being classy and the like, this certainly isn't an indication of it. Let's leave out the moral and ethical details of Tyler doing what he did, does that mean or justify the remarks left about him in just the last two days? I would think that being "classy" would mean taking the high road. I hope for your sakes that many of your would be recruits and possible committs don't ever read this board, because I believe they would be truly disturbed about what so called fans of this program have to say about them. I doubt Bo cares much one way or another what either of us think. I asked because I was curious. Personally I think both MU and NU will be players in the North for the foreseeable future, and it would be nice to have a rivalry more like what we have with OU. However that requires mutual respect, both from people like us and people like you. And it sounds like you are saying you don’t treat Husker fans with respect because you feel they have not treated you that way in the past. Understandable, but all this does is create a cycle of poor sportsmanship. You were treated this way so you treat others the same, who learn to treat other the same, who learn to treat the fans they meet the same, and so on. If you don’t like something, the answer is to break out of that pattern not to perpetuate it. Otherwise you’re just being a hypocrite.
  12. Yep. How many schollies do we have available from last year? That isn't the issue, the overall 85 limit is. A school can take 25 players EACH year, NU will not come close to 25 this year so they have no annual scholarship crunch. The issue is that they don't have a lot of room against the overall team limit of 85, doesn't matter if it counts for last year or this year the issue is that they all count towards the 85. good point
  13. That could go two different ways. On one hand the defenses are bad, on the other there is a lot of opportunity. Those coaches could be selling it as their teams are good enough to fight for a Rose Bowl right now, imagine what they could do with defensive players like him added in.
  14. I do wonder if it is because MU fans simply always complain about something when it comes to NU and Bo’s attitude makes for an easy target. I post on a few boards with posters from several teams, and on every single one the MU posters never want to give NU any credit or respect. But I’m willing to give the Tiggers the benefit of the doubt. Maybe there is something of substance to it besides bias.
  15. I've heard some talk that Baker may be moved back to OL. If so it would happen soon and be permanent.
  16. I hope your right, because on the surface it sure makes BP and staff look VERY incompetent when it comes to recruiting offensive players. It's usually the school who slow plays the kid, but around here it's the other way around....... bo apparently pulled his offer when he got tired of the kid jerking us around. you would think we'd have learned from the older brother, but better late than never. How did he jerk NU around? He committed months ago. What's he supposed to do, wear a hairshirt and crawl to Lincoln to show his faith? Here's my opinion (and go ahead and bring it on): 1. A very poorly called offensive game. 2. The following day's article in the Omaha World Herald - DC yelling at the winning team over and over "You should be ashamed"... chants of "Cheaters".... Bo cussing out the Big 12 Commissioner. As soon as I read that I thought "That's gonna cost them some recruits". As to your hypothesis, Tyler has said he was concerned about the offensive scheme and the state of the offense. Those are his reasons for switching. Not Bo’s attitude. Onto my question. I get that he’s fiery and that is a turn off to some people, but it’s surprising the number of MU fans that express displeasure with Bo because of it. Occasionally a TTU fan will say they don’t like it. Occasionally a KU or OU fan will say it. But every single MU poster I’ve come across on the internet has said they don’t like it. Strange to me. Why are MU fans so infatuated with Bo’s behavior?
  17. The family connection makes a lot of sense. I would love to have him come here, but I can see why Oregon would be a very good fit too.
  18. I’ve heard that a lot, but interestingly Phil Steele put Will on his 2nd team all frosh team. Fisher was 3rd team.
  19. I believe the JUCOs arriving in January may also be counted towards last year’s class.
  20. A buddy just told me that NU is pushing hard to get him away from Purdue after losing out on Gabbert. Does anyone know any news on this or is this just a rumor? I've hear something about that too. In a perfect world this may be true. But something tells me the ship may have already sailed with this guy. It's unfortunate, but would you want to be a schools "oh sh#t" replacement? Or would you be loyal to the school that committed to you being "the" guy? I want to point out that even when Tyler Gabbert was committed I wanted Sean Robinson (& I know other Husker fans felt the same way). Count me as one of 'em.

It's unfortunate, but would you want to be a schools "oh sh#t" replacement? Or would you be loyal to the school that committed to you being "the" guy? If they told me from the beginning they could only take one QB and someone else committed first, I wouldn’t have a problem with it. Happens all the time. Me and four other guys interview for one position. The company chooses one of the other guys. 6 months later they call me back saying they have an opening and ask if I’m interested? If it’s a good company and I was treated well the first time around, you betcha. A lot depends on the kids maturity, but I can see it happening. I also believe we continued to recruit him as a non QB for a while too, which may help.
  22. I've lost a lot of respect for Tyler after the way he has handled his committment.
  23. It's interesting that we'll nearly double the number of bodies available for the OL. I think we've had 6 guys playing this year with one graduating, but 5 kids redshirting.
  24. Is he looking to play baseball too? I hadn't heard that before.
