Huskers Land Texas Transfer QB Casey Thompson
Wild Bill replied to suh_fan93's topic in Husker Football
What a damn wuss and quitter. I hope all future employers take note of Casey Thompson bailing out just because Sims looks slightly better at this time. So Thompson is showing everyone he's only in it for his prima donna self and not a true team player. -
RIP, Michael Charles Leach -- March 9, 1961 - December 12, 2022

This is a famous funny trick that Mike Leach pulled on the Texas Longhorns in the 1999 Red River Showdown when he was working as the Oklahoma offensive coordinator. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/24866357/the-untold-1999-texas-oklahoma-story-mike-leach-fake-play-script? -
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm quite sad that my favorite football coach (since Bob Devaney) has died. Of brilliant intellect, he had the most amazingly wide-ranging, thought-provoking and entertaining post-game press conferences in sports, in which reporters could ask any question, whether or not it was related to the team, or football at all. There are so many videos on the Internet for your enjoyment, including the famous "wedding advice" one. And on top of that, he invented the revolutionary air raid offense that many programs have adopted - plus he wrote books on pirates and Geronimo! What an interesting, unique and truly great man!

I wonder if Harvey Perlman and/or Steve Pederson feel at least a tad bit guilty or remorseful about their integral roles that precipitated the colossal downfall of Nebraska Cornhusker football.

Well, at least when you write your autobiography, that chapter of your life won't be sparse! -

Anyone have a tempur pedic bed?
Wild Bill replied to krc1995's topic in Big Red Lounge: Official BS Forum
Tempur-Pedic is the best bed ever! Yes, they do smell for a few weeks after "uncorking" but that's probably just poison gases, so leave your windows open (you may want to make your purchase after the summer heat! But anyway, these beds are great and you'll get spoiled. I especially notice the nice "fit" when sleeping on my side because of the way it conforms to hips and shoulders. We bought the matching Tempur-Pedic pillows too as a buy one for $50, get the second free deal, but decided that we don't like them so much for sleeping. They're good for proping yourself up and reading in bed or watching teevee, however. Don't automatically go for the regular priced models of Tempur-Pedic. Figure out which firmness you like best. Shop around and there's one model that's about $500 cheaper than the rest and it turns out we thought that one was the right firmness. Now I hate to sleep anywhere else! We even had money left over to spend $300 or $400 on a nice headboard. -

Not too bad actually. The Chantix has curbed the cravings and made cigarettes taste like a donkey's ass. I've found myself actually not smoking during certain times because I just don't feel like it. Tomorrow is my actual quit date and unlike "quit days" in the past, there's no real anxiety there. I'm actually looking forward to it. You're not going to quit smoking pot too, are you? By the way, how did you know what a donkey's ass tastes like? -

President Obama posing with Nebraska jersey
Wild Bill replied to Nexus's topic in Politics & Religion
Yeah, that's pretty close. When I first heard of him, I thought his name was Barack Alabama. Now I pronounce it like "'Bama" just to piss off some of my politically messed up relatives. My condolences to Alabama Crimson Tide fans for the similarity.
