Curious if anyone had or knew of good, fun, loud, enthusiastic HUSKER watch sites in or near Overland Park? We are going for the weekend (Chiefs game for son's 11th bday), but want to take them to a good place for the game Saturday night. Needs to be kid friendly, but that doesn't mean no beer, no craziness, no fun...just that they are welcome to stay throughout the game and that doesn't include topless dancers (yet...that will be 18th birthday). Absolutely no real reason for this post other than to poke fun at myself and to show how 'trained' we are from the beginning. I said as soon as they showed the replay of the hit that Martinez didn't have a bruised thigh. His leg got rolled on and it was either knee or ankle. Now that it's coming out as a 'high ankle' just for comparison...Pierre Thomas for the Saints had a similar play/tackle/leg roll happen to him in week 3...he hasn't been on the field yet since. As for Lee. Sucks. He took a lot of heat last year while playing through an injury that was probably a lot worse than any one lead on or gave him credit for having. Now to have this...horrible way to end a career. True team player through and through.

Anyway to bring this back to attention...just listening to the USC loving apologist Cowherd on 1620 ESPN Radio, who had Bob Davie on. After this win against Okie State they both believe that Nebraska is a top 5 team right now. Does that mean BCS? Not necessarily, but they agree that they are among the best teams playing at this point in the season. Amazing how opinions can change week to week huh?
