@The Dude Yeah, but their a bigger pain and more work getting them loaded and to where you're going to hang.  Plus, leaving the gut pile in the field is preferable to me than having to deal with it back home.  I hunt in the hills.  Usually, I can face the head up hill while gutting and it does much of the same thing.  Then it's much lighter to handle heading home.  Coyotes appreciate it too.

@BigRedBusterthat's a good point with the hill.  I've done that too.  I do like to come back the next few days and look for song dogs.

@The Dude If I kill one in the evening and get it cleaned and loaded up in the dark, the gut pile is gone by morning.  I'm almost surprised they aren't watching from the top of the hill once they hear a gun shot.
