  1. 1 LSU, 2 OSU, 3 Clemson, 4 OU. That’s how I’d rank them.

You could make a good case for that, but I’d vote for Ohio State to remain number 1. Mainly because I feel their body of work for the whole season is more impressive.

  2. 2017 #1 ProStyle QB Hunter Johnson leaving Clemson likely for Purdue or Northwestern.  We may play this guy a lot.  #Blackshirts Party

This is a prime example of why a team should never skip taking a QB every year.

Taking one QB per year is likely a big factor in why you see such a high QB transfer rate.

Here is Clemson's QB recruiting from 2014-2019:

2014: :star :star :star :star QB

2015: :star :star :star QB and :star :star :star QB

      2016::star :star :star :star  QB

2017::star :star :star :star :star QB and :star :star :star QB

2018: :star :star :star :star :star QB

2019: :star :star :star :star QB (committed)

Now, they had 4 of these 7 scholarship QBs (not counting the 2019 commit) still on the roster and continue to take one per year. Imagine that if you are guy 3-6 on the depth chart and know that another guy is joining the team every year.

  3. All white uni’s suck.  Wow Wisconsin just blew the playoff and possible Heisman.  I am shocked!

  4. Aranda > Venables

Aranda didn’t have to play LSU’s offense. The difference is Clemson will be back here next year and Clemson will be better on D next year. LSU will be neither.

It was funny catching back up on my Twitter feed later in the game.  In the first quarter there were all kinds of tweets about how Clemson was completely out-coaching LSU.

  5. As Horns Down is now a taunt, if other teams Throw The Bones when they make a defensive play on us, is that a taunt?  Just sayin'...but also not expecting favors like Texass.

The funny thing about this whole this is TX did not complain or whine as people are saying. Lincoln Riley requested a clarification on if a penalty would be called before the game and the Texas conference said like any taunting call or unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, it would be the refs discretion.

Didn't an opposing player get a penalty for Throwing the Bones sometime during the Pelini era?

I hope throwing the bones becomes a penalty against us for murdering offenses

  6. Astros...what a bunch of jerks.  So glad the Nats punked these losers.

AJ Hinch’s denial sure isn’t a good look. What a d-bag for how he responded. I have no issues picking signs when it’s P2P, but not when you start using technology to tip signs.

I went to the Mel Stottylemyre Jr camps in Washington state when I was in middle school. Mel Jr was telling us how one MLB team used the Red and Green lights around the scoreboards in the stadium, which indicate a base hit or error, to tip pitches to the hitter

      Some real shady business

I wonder if this had anything to do with Reid Ryan’s reassignment.

  7. Better meme from today...Florida coaches looking like blueberries with their all blue outfits or Sooner schooner epic fail wipe out? :dunno:funnyhahah

  8. Bring on the Jerkeyes!!!

  9. Clemson making the committee look stupid for putting Ped State ahead of them.

IDK, who has Clemson played? Hell, Minnesota (along with about 10 other teams) has a better resume than Clemson. The ACC might as well be the AAC this year.

  10. Didn’t watch Ravens much this year but I had no idea they were Lamar Jackson or bust. Reminds me of college when he’d dominant mediocre teams but then get shutdown against strong teams. Where is the Ravens defense and running game that I have always known as their calling card?

The whole team got trashed tonight. WRs didn’t help either

A lot of dropped passes. It’s not a rule nor an exception, but just an instance of when a bye team looks rusty against a team currently with the most momentum in the game.

Texans/Chiefs should load the box all game long and not let Henry get going, force Tannehill to beat them with his arm (he can’t).

The Ravens didn’t have a strong D this year until late in the season. Their running game was hampered against the Titans because Mark Ingram re-injured his calf.  The Ravens also panicked a bit and got away from running the ball when they fell down 14-0. Jackson played ok, but not great, and didn’t get much help from his WR’s. Unfortunately two things which helped the Ravens all season (low turnovers, converting 4th downs to extend drives) burned them against the Titans. The Ravens moved the ball well, but couldn’t come up with key plays in the red zone. People put the blame on Lamar, but they shouldn’t.

  11. Georgia’s got better QB’s sitting on their bench.  On a bright note this likely knocks having two SEC teams in the playoff.

I don’t think Stetson Bennett IV would crack the top three QBs at Nebraska. So, yeah...

I can't imagine Urban coaching again with his totally legitimate health concerns.

These guys get so rich today that it has to be hard to get them to come back to coach because the money part is not a big deal for them.

I can see Lincoln Riley leaving, just because I wonder if he is starting to think that he can't get over the hump.

  16. Maybe the Big 12 should have sat out the season.

  17. Michigan sucks. Who can we steal? Time for Harbaugh to go back to the NFL?

From my understanding he was a Mike Riley and was only going to make the program worse. Wouldn't make players practice, no discipline for an in game fight or just in general. It will be interesting to see who they can land though

Who got him the great roster at USC? Who hired his assistants?

@Xmas32 7-1 on the road vs 4-4 at home, or 5-3 if they had won, their playoff success doesn’t hinge on that game last night. Russell needs his TEs back and need to sign a legit WR1, get a healthy RB and that offense shouldn’t struggle in the red zone. Very limited offense with 22 seconds left, no timeouts, no red zone targets, and a defensive holding call that was swallowed.

    4. chamrocck

      chamrocck

Ironically Ed Orgeron was at USC prior to Carroll and was the recruiting coordinator.  So ED O and $$$ (see R. Bush) were a great part of his success.
