  2. I would imagine the 2020 class would be the most vulnerable..And also maybe allowed to play right away without sitting out a year. But how many extra scholarships do we have available? I also wonder if CU recruits are drawn less to the Head coach and more to the Boulder area..Nice Brew Pubs last time I was there. Any word on Whether MSU or CU are going to be able to keep many of their assistant coaches?
  3. I've seen that disregard of off field behavior mentioned in another post..I even considered it when considering LP over Rozier or Craig.. But just for the sake of discussion, What if we couldn't? What if we had to take the bad with the good? I remember worrying about my Niece while she was going to UNL at the time, especially when she told me she'd seen Christian at the Rail. Many consider our '95 team the GOAT, but there was always this dark cloud hovering over the team for me..And maybe even in how I thought TO handled the problematic 5?... CP especially...
  4. Great!!! Now I've gotta burn the ends of my Q-tips I used after being bombarded with those ear wax ads.
  5. First two I thought of were Dave Rimington and ME!!! Even though I never walked on...Mainly because I'd probably be Rimmington's Blocking Dummy, But I sure miss my teenage body.. and the chance to invent velcro or Microsoft or Bottled water. Half of those two are already taken, so.. Dominic Raiola Scratch that, I almost know our current Center's Mom. ..DT .Neil Smith with his over 7' reach, DE Kyle Vanden Bosch
  6. Best game that never was? Michigan #1 total Defense/#44 Total Offense vs Nebraska #1 total Offense/#5 total Defense http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/football_records/archive/fbs/1997team.pdf Since the Big TEN and the Pac 12..er..10 hid out in the Rose Bowl, This is around the time I started correcting the spelling to ''MeChicken.'' As much as I really really wanted the two teams to meet, would anyone still care about a game that never happened after 23 years if we had met in some sort of playoff? 1997 the great debate Would 1997 Nebraska Have Been Favored Over Michigan? Michigan vs. Nebraska: Playing the greatest game that never was
  7. A two drink minimum? Wait! what are the cheerleaders wearing? Speaking of attire, and since this is a practice game for the players..Why not make this a practice Blackkout for the student fans? To either get them to see ahead of time how futile it really looks, or maybe even help get it right for a real game? Might ease the bickering between the age groups on social media.
  8. I can't remember if my girlfriend took the points...we were too upset to collect on the bet for over an hour.
  9. I never understood why people would bet anything other than sexual favors on a sporting event..Especially one with a prolate spheroid shaped ball. I still wonder if Dr. Tom ever suspected if Fryer dropped that one pass on purpose.
  10. Never been impressed with Bielema..Escaped to the SEC to avoid high academic standards, and still tanked. Jim McElwain would be 'great hire' for Michigan State, former Spartan Drew Stanton says McElwain was more than slightly better at UF, being named SEC coach of the year one year, and might be a little more desperate.
  11. Totally unrelated...But is the Wishy Washy Laundromat still a thing in Lincoln? 27th street iirc.
  12. That NDSU video was really funnier than I remember...I guess the old saying is true.
  13. Nebraska High school weight lifting records
  14. We're a better offer than Michigan State or Texas Tech? I guess we've got THAT going for us..Which is nice. How 1995
  15. So...Still 5 years to play 4? Was he short on classes?
  16. What's the purpose of the Prep year after High School? Does he lose a possible Redshirt now? A little surprised he'd enrolled at Texas Tech last year,
  17. I think they meant Clean and Jerk..
  18. https://nebraska.forums.rivals.com/threads/marvin-scott-can-bench-press-over-400-lbs.260066/ Don't remember having weight lifting competitions when I was a high schooler...Is this happening in Nebraska now?
  19. After rewatching the OP video, It appears to me Vedral was the more consistently ''on target'' and hitting the swing pass in stride..2AM seemed to throw to the trailing ankle more times than not..(I'm guessing at least partially due to a banged up shoulder). I don't remember seeing a swing pass from Luke, but he had a couple of nice mid screen passes behind the LT. Is there some similar video out there that includes more of the incompletions? Seems like a high percentage of 2AMs throws were so far behind, incompletions would have been fumbles. I'm reminded of how much I sucked at Basketball...I couldn't make a 12' jumper to save my life, but made half of my half court shots.
  20. Is there a breakdown on which of our QBs makes this throw more consistently? Just like the bad snaps throwing off the timing of the play, hitting the guy in stride would probably help even more. I'm guessing the coaches (or armchair coaches like me) tend to give 2AM the nod because he seems to be able to make the ''impossible throws'', but if the screens or Swing passes make up so much of our plays, maybe we need to adjust who we think should be playing on certain situations.
  21. Surprised. I really had high hopes for ST improvement. Injury problems with a few kickers probably made us seem worse and are probably not as affected by having an area coach, but I suspect our kick returns and coverage teams could use some new direction. Wonder how many points per game this will cost us...or how many games? 2019 Special Teams
  22. I was trying to assume that Nancy or the rest of that ''side'' were actually in favor of maintaining those protections..Just not happy with the method of going about them. When I think about it, I doubt either side really cares..Just which public position gets you the most votes.
