  1. Lance Jeter and John Turek both played for the team JD is on, but neither are listed on the current roster. The site is kind of odd to navigate. Jeter is still playing though, just for another team in Europe. Looks like Turek called it a career after 10 yrs playing overseas.
  2. florida took the series 2-1 at home; 1-0, 8-1, and 6-10. should be a good final series.
  3. veering off course for a post, KU does not care one iota about K-state. they basically stole a medical school from another state college. KU will do what is best for KU and to hell with anyone else. back to the topic, no one has mentioned the third bumper sticker that was out there "my two favorite teams are nebraska and whoever is playing oklahoma".
  4. Hasn't Miles' teams shown an equal penchant for losing to teams they should beat and beating teams they should lose to?
  5. http://www.kansas.com/sports/college/wichita-state/article153474954.html slight change. sunrise next year then WSU in 2018.
  6. i kinda want to see the next few frames of that shot of parrella. friggin DT hurdling a RB to get to the QB.
  7. Don't we already have a thread for that, "new recruits and profile updates"? Isn't changing the poll part of the profile now of uncommitted recruits?
  8. and Tommy Armstrong holds a lot of career passing records at Nebraska. Does that mean he had a great career at Nebraska? I already said Wilson was average at NCST. But it wasn't like people were dying for him to come to their school. Looks like the link Husker 2019 posted shows Wilson throwing 14 Ints the year before he came to Wisconsin and 11 the year before that. Not sure where you are getting your NCAA record stuff. I'm getting at that he was more than an average quarterback. There's a difference between holding Nebraska records and NCAA records. He also stands pretty highly in within ACC sr. Tommy does not. The comparison is not applicable. I don't know how 30 TD's to 11 INT's would be considered average. The 28 to 14 was a step back, but is that due to the NC State talent or him? Can you imagine how much more successful we would be if we had even the 28 to 14 ratio? Not average. Slap on the fact that he was very effective running and I don't see how you think he was average. That's fine if you want to think he was a great QB at NCST than great. I think he was pretty average. Before he went to Wisconsin and had a great Sr year most poeple had not heard of him. I vaguely remember him before he got too Wisconsin. The bottom line is he was contemplating playing pro baseball and football his senior year and his HC at NCST Tom O'brien didn't think much of it. If O'[brien thought he was so much above average he probably wouldn't have worried so much about it and not given away his starting job. you have that backwards. o'brien probably thought he was above average and wanted his entire focus on football. and playing baseball kind of interferes with something called spring practice.
  9. He'd most likely never start at Wichita State. But he'd walk into an ideal situation with 6 seniors graduating this year.
  10. i don't want to be mean or that guy but people can get a hell of a lot better. I know it's a long shot but with hard work you can really up your game drastically. you can only get better at the position your coach wants you to play and the position message board posters think you should play.
  11. Smart. Love it. Did his brother walk on? He hasn't decided. Has similar offer from Northwestern and some smaller schools. He'd probably have a few academic scholarships I'm assuming, but man that'd be an expensive place to walk on at. If the school is providing the academic scholarship, it has to be applied to the 85. only if he actually plays.
  12. And being a ga at nebraska is better than being a full time assistant at drake.
  13. I've heard Isiah may have some academic issues, which is why WichSt wants him to go to prep school. if wichita st wanted him to go to a prep school it would have more to do with the fact they had no scholarships to give up until last week when a juco guard decided to transfer. i have also not seen his name mentioned as someone they are recruiting.
  14. You're talking about two different guys. Mike is talking about the guy from Winthrop and teach and Matty are talking about the new incoming freshman.
  15. ^ This post is about as accurate as any in this thread - take away KU (every year) and OU (for a couple 4/5 year stints) and the Big8 was pretty bad. Take away the lack of a power house for 1 season (last year) in the Big10 and the conference is on a different level. Comparing records is not a fair battle. In no way will I say that TM has produced on the court as DN did, however 1 to 2 years of patience is required. There will be a day within this decade that we will know if TM put it together or just didn't have it. when does this 1 to 2 years of patience start? TM has been at NU for 5 years already.
  16. and 61 did at least push borland off of martinez. even did a little hand slapping with some other wisconsin players.
  17. I don't believe anyone has questioned Miles' ability to get a player to commit to Nebraska. It's everything after that fans have lost faith in. They still need to buy in. The players we lost were more worried about where they were playing, instead of the team. 4 losing seasons in 5 years where players have bought in and the results are the same There is no buy in, if they are leaving because they do not get there way, wonder if miles told these players when he was recruiting them that his plan would be to play them out of position and have no semblance of an offense whatsoever. you can claim no buy in but that buy in is most likely not what miles sold them on.
  18. he needs to start doing something with the talent he is bringing in. remember last year when we had threads about the team being the best collection of talent ever at Nebraska? how well did that turn out?
  19. All sports but football. There won't be football at wsu for the foreseeable future. There's little support to bringing it back.
